After following this case all these years, I had to miss the sentencing updates today….130 years….yes!!

Now to go and catch up….

Same!!! I hope the families of the two girls can rest a bit easier now that this monster has been put away for life. Still, their grief will continue a lifetime but this court case is one less burden for them to carry. Justice has been served!

The family impact statements have me in tears.

They’ve waited so long to have their say in court. We’ve waited so long for their day to come.
These and the public recognition given to Kathy Shrank have really hit my heart.

A sentence of 130 years satisfies, to the degree it can.

The only thing better than this outcome is if we’d never heard of Abby and Libby at all, because they had instead had their walk on the bridge and returned home safely.

That can’t be, so IMO we must settle for this.

And I do hope the families file a civil suit regarding the carelessness and unprofessionalism that allowed pictures of their girls, naked and in extremis, to be circulated on the Internet.

I loved that there was NO respect shown by anyone towards those two. It was never Mr Rozzi or Mr Baldwin. It was always Baldwin and Rozzi.

I still say they should be disbarred.

“When asked about sentencing, Rahmani (former prosecutor) predicted jail staff would ignore Allen's defense's desperate pleas to join the general prison population and instead lock him back into solitary.

"Allen clearly has mental health issues," he said.

"According to even the prosecution witnesses, he had depression. He maybe had psychosis.

"So he's probably someone that's not going to be kept in the general population."

When deciding where to house a prisoner, jail officials consider the severity of their crimes and assess whether they're violent.

"If they are dangerous, they're going to be isolated," Rahmani said.”

The attorney noted that Allen murdered the girls for "no apparent reason" other than wanting to rape them.

"He is someone that's shown that he potentially has significant mental health issues because of his behavior in prison in terms of his appearance, eating feces and paper," he said…..”

Welp, his display while being held while waiting for trial (and even his threats to CO in jail during trial) will come back to bite him in the As$

Of course, they will need to clean him up and take his sporks away from him.

I have friends who are COs locally, as we have a state prison about 10 miles away from our little community and I have heard both scenarios

Isolation is worse
Gen Population is worse

So maybe it depends on the reason they are there, and even which facility is their new home.

Either way-- he won't be murdering any more girls, walking trails and bridges nor will he be drinking beers and shooting pool and dancing like a leprechaun!!

In hospital since last Friday, emphysema, suppose to go home monday.

I am thrilled that he got 130 years and hope there will be no appeals. Fingers crossed . Just sorry he had so much time out before he was arrested.

He probably started eating as soon as he got that guilty verdict.
The false hope of acquittal his attorneys dangled in front of him from April of 23 to trial probably caused more mental harm than his detainment.

They were the assigned public defenders. Their very job was to have RA acquitted and keep him out of prison.

Maybe another interpretation of their job could also be in light of overwhelming evidence attempt to negotiate an equitable sentence sparing families’ suffering (victims and accused) and resources. Is that not after all, their duty of jurisprudence? Not the shell game this team has managed to put forth?

Thank you for sharing these Victim statements

I am an emotional wreck right now, reading them all.

I wish that when I went to Delphi, it was for a relaxing trip to the trails and bridge instead of a fundraiser for Libby and Abby.
I was able to meet the families and hear their loving stories about the girls.

I really thought with Libby's video, it was going to be a slam dunk case but it did not turn out that way.

Kudos to another hero, Kathy Shank, for her volunteering to assist with the case and discovering the "TIP" about RA.

Our other heroes, Libby and Abby, will forever remain in our hearts.

Hopefully B and R will be charged or sanctioned for their shenanigans.

I was told about 20 threads or so ago that the men that Baldwin & Rozzi named in their fictional franks doc cannot sue them..

However, I believe there could be a "work around" or " Loophole" which may allow them to sue the D team for "defamation of character" AND
Slander. I Hope they do that.

And I hope the families / Court/ Prosecutors -- one or all of them go after the D team for all the Unethical things they did, including leaking the crime photos.

I think we may see something after the new year.

You raise a good point. Can a public defender in a murder case bring his assigned client back in with a guilty plea? I do wonder if there was ever a plea bargain on the table. What could they have offered him? 50 years instead of 130? It would have saved taxpayer dollars and spared the families the additional anguish of the trial. And spared us all the Franks’ memos, leaks, and the rest of the nonsense.
