I suspect now that there is no more jury to influence, and no more gag order, people will chase engagement. But I am more curious about what this persons work for the D actually was.

It's very odd to me that conspiracists keep turning up on their team.

it hardly speaks well of them that a team member is making a false claim that Ferency was murdered by Odinists AND gets critical facts about that claim wrong. What kind of shabby operation was this?

She was said to be an 'investigator' for the Defense, but really they're all just slinging more insults about LE, Judge Gull and the families of the victims. They'll do and say anything to stay relevant for what little time anybody still gives 2 cents about the CONVICTED and SENTENCED child murderer.

Just send his sorry self to prison and let him take his chances in general population. He should not receive any further special treatment IMO. He was tried by a jury of his peers who found him guilty based on the evidence and facts of this case and Judge Gull sentenced him accordingly. If anybody deserved the max sentence it was this monster.

From what I have seen with a few other pro killer popularity cases getting around atm. I think the defence is hopeful of swaying public opinion AND infiltrating the jury pool.
ITS DIRTY and its gaining acceptance these below the belt tactics.

Hearts my heart.
Netflix and groups like The innocence project and the like have created a anti police and anti justice brigade that have triggered and tricked good people everywhere into a mentality of everyone who is good is actually bad... and everyone who is bad... is well....not so bad.
its part of a societal change that hopefully is slowly moving its way out.

Jurys have been concise and common sense has prevailed alot this year.

Agreed 100%. I like to believe Truth and Justice will ultimately prevail in these cases. Even though mistakes were made by LE, those mistakes DID NOT make RA innocent. I'm just so thankful these jurors spent the time and really stayed engaged throughout the process.

Hat's off to the jury, they deserve gratitude for having to endure the highly emotional and gruesome testimony and they've got mine for sure.

Regarding the recent trend in defense tactics, I have noticed & I do agree it’s shady & toes the line of ethics. JG nipped it in the bud as best as she could IMO & I hope other judges follow her example by shutting off the media as a result. Eventually the lightbulbs will go off or codes/rules/laws will be put in place to curb this recent fad.

It disappoints me that people have gotten so much smarter but have lost so much more common sense & basic respect. Taking that into consideration, it’s amazing juries have been as decent as we’ve observed.

Just curious, what happens to RA’s assets? Does his wife to keep it all? Do the families get anything?
Not a lawyer, but I assume that would be a civil matter, not the result of a criminal conviction. His punishment is his sentence. The families of the victims can bring a wrongful death lawsuit against RA should they choose. RA more than likely isn’t going to have much to offer the victim’s families in terms of assets.

I think mainstream media lost a lot of credibility and it enabled youtube media to fill the gap. People will start to realise that the breadth of this is just ridiculous, and they have to start using and relying on their own noggins. Back to personal commonsense. IMO

I started watching Bob Mottas live with the defence team investigator EM. She openly accuses Holeman of framing Rick and then starts talking about some far larger conspiracy in Indiana. Of course she can’t tell anyone the details.

This is just wild stuff and anyone who knows anything about appeals knows that an appeal court is not going to allow that stuff unless they have actual solid evidence that was not available at the time of the trial that can come in as new evidence.

I honestly think they are just lying to people to convince them they are part of some real work. Motta calls himself an advocate for KA.

Whatever this is it has nothing to do with actual criminal appellant work.

I am disturbed by this. It’s one thing for appellate attorneys to fight for constitutional rights. It’s quite another for the defence team to openly accuse law enforcement of corruption.

what are we even doing?

I must say I am questioning my ongoing involvement in any of this. I feel things are way out of hand.

Bbm. A&L’s families likely know this too and I’d also be surprised- not in a judgmental way at all, they are MORE than entitled to pursue a civil suit obviously if they wish- if they did pursue something civil purely because they seem like exceedingly kind people who may feel that pursuing anything against RA’s estate won’t have much effect on him at this point, but rather his family.

Again, not casting any judgment at all on A&L’s families if they do, just want to make that very clear. Just a guess based on their behavior throughout these past 7 years and MOO

Sounds like it might be suitable for a defamation action?

i notice Motta is super careful not to chip in on that stuff!

One obvious nonsense is she rants about how the gun and jacket never left the evidence bags to be shown to the jury as if the prosecution is trying to keep everything secret. Obviously the defence can show any exhibit to the jury. But of course viewers are going to assume this is all reliable information.

I am really troubled by this. She also claims she worked for free for 2 years since feb 23 because Jidge Gull wouldn’t pay her invoices. Well hang on a minute here. Did she work on the defence team or not?????

apart from anything else the wild ranting really calls into question what kind of operation the defence was running here.

Has anyone seen a statement or comment from his wife?
Nah - unless she comes forward, MSM around here will likely leave her alone. I won’t say the same for those with whom she’s choosing to surround herself though. Could easily see her on some lawtuber’s channel crying about an injustice.

Not sure if you’re from around here or not but our media is generally fairly reserved IMO. They typically don’t jump on bandwagons with conspiracy theories without some credible facts with which to back it up. They’ve been respectful to the victims & families, that I’ve seen.

I get the impression most in the media feel RA was rightly charged, tried & convicted. That being said, there could be a few investigative reporters pop up out of the woodwork, but more than likely few & far between. Indy Star would be one large enough to risk going down the rabbit hole but I’ve not run across any questioning things in RAs case - & not saying I’ve read every article or paper either. I’d be surprised if a local TV news station would risk viewership trying to cast a different story, at least with what we’ve been told/shown via evidence thus far.

IF that is true, there’s your reason why she’s doing what she’s doing. She’s mad. She’s already shown me she’s quite reckless with what she says as far as facts are concerned, with her spreading misinformation concerning details of Ferency’s murder.

Many of those channels have disclaimers - that’s what gives them the ability to spout their opinions. Many viewers are too dense to do READING on their own to put that together & consider that before taking a bite & swallowing.

Great point. I would be surprised if they did as well but they are entitled to do as they see fit. It’s my opinion everyone involved would be best served just letting things be & moving forward for the sake of healing but at the same time, I’m not standing in their shoes, feeling what they’re feeling & couldn’t blame them if they did seek a civil action.

As you pointed out, you mean no judgement towards the victim’s families. I also meant no disrespect towards RAs chosen career (or anyone else’s) or his life prior to his involvement with A & L. My opinion was based on RAs request for a public defender, claims of selling house & claims of financial hardship. Also, it’s important to note that isn’t to be confused with sympathy towards him by any stretch of the imagination.

what i find so alarming is that this is a channel affiliated with the defence and a person who claims to have worked on the trial. so should this be regarded as in the record? as Holeman says they’ve been accused unofficially but this is next level??

His channel disclaimer says it’s for educational purposes only. If someone has the money to legally challenge that, I’d love to see it. Me, personally, it’s a free country. I don’t have to listen to him or anyone else affiliated with him run their mouths about anything I don’t wish to hear. I’m not excusing anyone for what they say, mind you. I just simply don’t care. Not worth my effort to care what idiots wish to say or believe. Wrap that foil tight to the head, I guess.

Erica Morse seems a bit unhinged to me. She claims they’ve caught Holeman changing his story yet the defense didn’t object or call him out on it in court after Holeman testified. I do recall the defense made these claims in their opening statement - watch as the state changes thing right before your eyes. Then NOTHING, zilch addressing that claim. I think she’s just blowing smoke. Why say things like that & then not follow through DURING the trial? That makes ZERO sense to me.

Just more ‘bombshells" that are in reality nothing more than a dud.

Nah, the last anyone’s heard from her is still the “this isn’t over at all” in front of the press outside the courthouse just after the verdict.
I can’t imagine that she would want to stay in Delphi. I’d want to move to another state or another country and start a new life.
