In the closeup of the bridge guy video, the blue jacket the bridge guy is wearing looks to be held together by snaps, not a zipper. It looks like bridge guy has a big stomach or many things in the jacket.

I would have done the same thing as Abby and Libby. I would not have ran but waited to see where this person went first. I am sure Libby has seen adults out walking at the Monon High Bridge before. There was no reason to start running away. They have no idea this person intends to harm them. He is only a strange person who is making them uncomfortable by getting closer to them on the bridge.

Unfortunately, we will probably never know the reason Liberty German turned on her phone camera to record the bridge guy video.

I think she did it to show her Dad or Grandpa. I think when they passed him on the trail there was some kind of interaction, either just leering, maybe a comment or just acting antisocial like he did with that group of girls. A this guy was out on the trails today and he was creepy, do you recognize him type thing. Whatever her reason, thank God Libby did it! Darling girls

I feel he was concerned with at least 2 things:

1. His wife & whatever she had to say about the picture shown in the above article, as she knew he’d been out there that day but didn’t know he’d been in the bridge. Has been discussed here many times before (what KA may have said to him when she heard the girls were missing).
2. What LE knew. Likely, after speaking with a CO vs. a detective, sheriff’s deputy, local police officer or ISP trooper, etc., he wasn’t as concerned & went in living his sorry life until they came back knocking in 2022.

For me BBs testimony that Bridge Guy saw her was a big corroboration in respect of RA's story. He knew he'd been seen on platform 1 so worked that in to his story.

One of the most fascinating aspects of these killers is how they become a first time show runner in their own "Krimi" and try to script a version that covers all the basis while exonerating themselves. They inevitably mess up in this process.

The biggest issue with the Innocent Rick show is he didn't understand how admitting to seeing the juvenile girls and beng on platform 1 would anchor him so tightly into the chrono. In his mind, no one saw him once the victims arrived, so it was safe to admit to being on the Bridge at the 'innocent time'. He couldn't know that BB passes the victims on their outbound journey, and effectively traps him on to the bridge with them.

I have never had any doubt that RA saw BB at the bridge.

After seeing then-live news clips of men wading in the creek, I have no doubts he wasn’t there just looking at fish. I couldn’t see more than a foot of their legs, if even that. There’s no way the water was clear enough to see fish.

I’m sure she saw it. I live 100 miles south & it was all over TV, covered by local (Indianapolis based) news & in the newspapers. I’m sure the larger cities up north (Ft. Wayne, South Bend, possibly Gary/Chicago) more than likely covered it, possibly also stations out of Terre Haute. Unsure about southern Indiana, as we don’t get Evansville based stations & they’re kind of isolated.

It is strange how light can affect pictures and how we see the pictures. This picture has been analyzed so much. In the picture he does look shorter in height, but maybe that has to do with how the picture is cropped?

Especially sunlight late & early in the year in this area. The sun is quite low in the southern portion of the sky, even during midday & afternoon & the light hits things at odd angles causing it to play tricks on the eyes. It’s completely different than the remaining 8 months of the year, especially how it affects coloration of things, IMO.

I think it’s all his hand, possibly covered in a latex glove. I can’t make up my mind if those are plastic bag handles sticking out or just some weird scarf or neck gaiter. To me, & considering what RV (1 of the 4 girls) said about him being overdressed for the weather, he quite possibly could have layered clothing to give the appearance of added bulk. He also seems to be keeping his head down, chin tucked.

Agree. Went through the pre-arrest photos of RA that I could find. Photos one of a right wrist and one from afar of the left wrist.
The left wrist might have a watch on it, but the right definitly no, and no sign one was worn regularly (tan mark.)

Not sure how she couldn’t have unless she didn’t watch TV or read the paper. She seemed to be big on posting things on SM & I’m sure it was mentioned on there for her to see at the very least. I can’t imagine a mother not following up & checking out media articles about 2 missing girls being found murdered a mile or two from her home.

I feel by 2022, she had to know & like him, was too selfish to believe it. Quite possibly she was too ignorant to believe it, but only she can answer that & she won’t be talking anytime soon. Will be interesting to see if she stays in it for the long haul. That 300k from the house isn’t going to last forever & fuel prices traveling to Pendleton won’t be getting much cheaper either.

The daughter & her husband seemed eerily quiet throughout - wonder what thoughts run through their minds?

Yeah, I read your thoughts on that upthread. For me the image quality is too poor to offer more than guesses & the lighting doesn’t help much either. I’ve narrowed it down to the bag as you feel or just the lighting making some clothing accessory like a gaiter look odd. It’s similar to the oddness of what’s around his head - a hood in the rear & his punk beanie thing he wore while in the bar playing pool?

I’m sticking with bulky layered clothing though, might be a brown hoodie or some shirt jacket type thing which isn’t fully buttoned.

Going back to where he was when the girls arrived, he may have been sitting in one of the benches which some sit off the walkways a bit. Possibly sipping on his beer & giving the girls uncomfortable looks as they passed him, maybe. Like others, I tend to feel the girls may have laughed at an advance or said something insulting which may have got him to focus on them more, if he wasn’t already at that point & just waiting on them.

The trail straightens out where she passed them, from there you dramatically see down the trail and down the bridge.

Yeah, that’s where I recall seeing one, at Mears. I’m not 100% sure if there are more or if they were there in 2017 or were put in during the renovation. At least one is shown during a walkthrough when GH was there, shown around the 16:45 mark & he speculated RA may have been there.

Not that is of major importance or worth debating but so many small details are left unanswered.

Right, RA himself admitted to having some type of face covering. I believe he had a hoodie on under his jacket and had something scarf life or a bandanna around his neck.

Not normal for an innocent walk on the trails, also not admitting to being on the bridge to KA.
