I watched it with audio this morning as I knew i wouldn't sleep last night if I watched it.
I think if there is a laugh from any of them, it sounds incredibly nervous and more a way of hiding their fear.
Abby seemed scared.
But the main thing for me is he was right behind them. So close. For years I thought he was right at the back of the bridge. But he was closing in. And he looks very short.
I hear libby say gun.
It's so heartbreaking knowing this was the last moments of their lives. Those brave girls.

Gray Hughes has a video out where he goes over the bridge video and enhances the audio. It’s quite good. I know he’s hard to take sometimes but you can just move the video forward or back to just see what you want.
Here’s what his enhanced audio revealed. Some of it GH confirms, some of it is my opinion.
—Abby whispers something to Libby before she gets to the end of the bridge. It seems to contain the words “where” and “go” . I’m thinking she was asking to find a way for them to go to get away from RA.
—Then Abby says “don’t leave me up here”
—as Abby runs by Libby, Libby says “that be a gun”. It sounds like a quiet question to Abby. Abby responds with what seems like a breathless yes as she runs by. Abby then seems to something about the path.
—between RA saying “guys” and “down the hill” you can hear the gun rack.

Edit: forgot the video

"And he looks very short."
Yes, and he was the short guy that worked at CVS across the street from the sheriff' station.

So sad :(

The people who spread misinformation that the BG wasn't on the video or in the distance away should be ashamed of themselves and hide in a hole. It is plain obvious BG (RA) was really close to them and fwas following them :(. Absolutely terrifying.

Yep.

Take note of those law tubers who promoted the Bridge Guy innocence project. They were lying.

“Is he running

Don’t leave me up here

That be a gun?”

That’s what I hear.

The one thing to note from this video, in my opinion, is down that hill.

1) the hill looks like it already has tracks on it like someone had fairly recently taken that same path either up or down it.

2) all 3 of of the people in the video are aware that that is the direction they are heading.

1st Libby says “so we’ll have to go down” to the camera

2nd l without being able to hear Libby, Abby states “don’t leave me UP here”

3rd is obviously “guys, down the hill”

I don’t know what to make of it yet but it is very strange.

I don’t hear a the action or a gun, I hear leaves crumpling that could be mistaken for that sound but those are happening before the guys and after it as well.

This video is the hard proof that some of the defence boosters have perpetuated a giant con job. Even after seeing this video they claimed BG was too far way. He is right there!

Why anyone takes those law tubers seriously I have no idea.

It's all been a grift. They know Rick is guilty.

After listening to this, now I'm pretty sure Abby's first utterance on the video was "Is he right behind me?"

I'm deliberately not going to listen. I've never listened to the audio clip. I never listened to the recording of Letecia Stauch taunting Gannon the night before she killed him, either.

I don't need that in my head. There are enough horrors in there already.

But that doesn't mean I'm not reacting to this.

Rage. That's what I'm feeling, that's what I've been feeling since the first Franks, since the leaks, since the Due Process Gang and the truthers picketing the trial.

This video shows the facts, a moment in time when two girls were abducted and marched through the woods to their deaths.

The people yelling the loudest that this video meant nothing saw this, saw the perpetrator, heard the fear in the girls' voices, heard the grim purpose in his.

They saw and heard all this and still chose to do what they did.

And that isn't a vigorous defense, that's disgusting to me.

Because of them, those photos of the girls' bodies are on the internet, and the internet is forever. Children, naked and brutalised. And I can never feel anything but revulsion that these people are still practicing law.

So what's LEs advice to two people hiking together who run into this kind of situation? Not sure If know what to do either, esp in the moment.

Maybe kick him in the shins/groin and make a run for it?
Let's not forget they were on a 70 foot high bridge close to the deserted end. They may have passed RA in the beginning with him sitting on the first platform looking nonchalant. Next thing they know, he's hoofing it down towards them. I admit I did not watch the video, too traumatic for me.

I can totally see how they afraid and confused. I hate RA and what he did to those innocent girls. I hope he experiences that kind of fright in prison on a daily basis. Sorry, not sorry.

Seeing the video confirms so much about the bizarre D trial strategy.

It's clearly not RL or KK in the video. And could obviously be RA. And seeing RA said he was there in Bridge Guy clothes, roh roh.

So they needed an alt who looks like Bridge Guy. When they didn't get that, they needed the Bridge Guy Innocence project.

As for all the conspiracies about that girls not even being on the bridge - obviously those people are either insane, or grifters or both.

I agree it is bizarre that the boosters would want to release this video, but i suspect the purpose of doing that was to launch their new website.

I really hope RA will now get solid legal representation. He has quality appeal attorneys by all accounts. Hopefully they stay far away from MA, BM and AB and get on with some serious law work.

Yeah - i am not sure there is much advice for this situation other than to run, and maybe split up. But if a gun was already out, per the state case, then options were all bad.

Which version and exhibit # is the released video? IIRC there was more than one submitted at trial, at least the original and an enhanced version. Before I decide if anyone was being untruthful about what they observed at the trial I would like this information. Thanks!

It is the original according to Wieneke

But also that is apparent from just looking at the video itself. This version is not stabilised or enhanced etc. Of course we have no guarantees no one messed around with it - as we have no chain of custody. But you can see for yourself, that no "AI" or dirty tricks were required to grab bridge guy out of it. He is clear as day in the initial seconds, and then you see him much more clearly when the camera swings back for a few frames. All you need to do is a digital zoom and a small rotation.

An important thing is there are frames with Abby and BG in the same shot - so you can actually see how close is and even calculate by counting the beams.

I hear straight up fear, cloaked in stoic bravery, especially from Libby trying to stay calm for her frightened friend.
Absolutely agree. Libby's voice is exactly how I'd expect someone's to sound if, say, they were pretending to be on their phone walking home at night to dissuade a man walking too close behind while still trying to sound relatively casual so as not to tip him off. "Yeah, I'll totally be home in about five minutes! See you VERY, VERY soon!" Poor brave girl. Completely heartbreaking.

Another important point here - this illustrates why some of the more insane arguments from the law tubers on the innocence of Bridge Guy were not made in Court.

You can see he is right there, and presumably calculate down to one beam, how many feet away he is. They didn't do any of that because it all draws attention to how bad this video is for Rick.

You can only make these arguments in your 5 hour nightly livestream when the audience can't see the video.

The other thing I'm feeling is a fierce pride for these girls, for Libby's choice to film their murderer, for both their courage in an unthinkable situation, but one all women, girls, and femme presenting people have experienced some flavour of by their age.

And rage again, that that courage and presence of mind under extreme circumstances was ever necessary. The biggest threat they should have faced that day was the bridge itself, and they should have lived to take other risks like it.

I hear Abby's voice tighten as she becomes scared. I hear Libby trying to speak in that calm "out loud voice" that we women get when we are trying to act like everything is normal, don't notice us, please keep going along and leave us alone. Abby's tiny "hi" is the worst part of it all IMHO. She sounds so scared, cornered, trying to shrink into herself and not be noticed...and at that point it's too late. :(

100% this
As a female living on this planet who unfortunately has a freeze/fawn response when I feel threatened or in danger by men, these girl's voices just resonated with me.

I'm scared, but maybe I'm overreacting, I don't want to offend this person, act normal, oh they addressed me? we made eye contact? Keep sweet. Be polite. Please let this pass...

Personal anecdote/example (my fawn/freeze response turns into fight when other people are in danger) - I have a video I was filming on a subway train when a passenger started screaming they had a suicide vest After pulling the emergency alarm and arriving into the station everyone ran off the train except for the person threatening and one other lady... I realized the person was just having a mental health crisis and probably wasn't a danger, I ran back onto the train though to get the female passenger to leave. Watching my video back I say to the female passenger "excuse me..." and the fake-bomber said "yes?" And in the tiniest most awkward voice I squeak out "oh no, I'm sorry, not you.." to this potential terrorist. Listening back to my video after I can laugh at myself for being awkward in a terrifying situation, but hearing that tiny little "hi" in the bridge video just took me back to my own experience... oh they addressed me? we made eye contact? Keep sweet. Be polite. Please let this pass...
