Not sure how she couldn’t have unless she didn’t watch TV or read the paper. She seemed to be big on posting things on SM & I’m sure it was mentioned on there for her to see at the very least. I can’t imagine a mother not following up & checking out media articles about 2 missing girls being found murdered a mile or two from her home.

I feel by 2022, she had to know & like him, was too selfish to believe it. Quite possibly she was too ignorant to believe it, but only she can answer that & she won’t be talking anytime soon. Will be interesting to see if she stays in it for the long haul. That 300k from the house isn’t going to last forever & fuel prices traveling to Pendleton won’t be getting much cheaper either.

The daughter & her husband seemed eerily quiet throughout - wonder what thoughts run through their minds?

When comparing Richard Allen's voice from when he was riding a lift with his wife to the voice of bridge guy saying "Down the hill" on the bridge guy video, it does sound similar. But it would be nice to hear his voice for a longer period of time to make a good comparison.

Due to not being able to see the evidence in the case, we are left to guess. I think the snaps on the blue jacket are as close as I can come to my conclusion in this case without being able to see the actual jacket presented to the jury at trial. Even though I know RA probably got rid of the original one after the crime, if the prosecutor was willing to say the blue jacket they found in RA's house was from the "bridge guy starter kit" then I will assume it did have snaps on it.

I think Richard Allen was right-handed. It is a little detail like the watch and the hand that it appears to be on that makes me want to try to confirm the identity of the person in the bridge guy video.

Yeah, that’s where I recall seeing one, at Mears. I’m not 100% sure if there are more or if they were there in 2017 or were put in during the renovation. At least one is shown during a walkthrough when GH was there, shown around the 16:45 mark & he speculated RA may have been there.

Not that is of major importance or worth debating but so many small details are left unanswered.

ETA Corrections due to my inability to read. 🙄

Geeze...that picture right in the local news. Did his wife not see it?? I mean, sure the face is not real clear but I would recognize my husband ( the clothes, the way they fit) in that same scenario 100 percent of the time. Unless I didn't want to............ MOO.
She saw it. Its him. She is supporting him still. Married out of high school.

Yes she is supporting him. Meanwhile as the appeal hasn’t yet been heard her loyalty can be perceived to if standing behind a tortured martyr who was wrongfully convicted, rather than a child x 2 killer.

After that though, unfortunately the temptation to participate in paid interviews may prove too lucrative. I bet she won’t stay silent forever.

I don't know. she decided its her man right or wrong a long time ago, and that he has he has been a pill a long time.

What always surprised me about this case is how Richard Allen did not do any of the things I would have expected.

For example, when walking back to his car after the crime he somehow managed to avoid the Hoosier Harvest Store surveillance camera. Whether that was because he knew the surveillance camera was there or because of SC driving by at around 3:57pm, he left the road to not be seen.

Then a few days later he meets up with conservation officer DD without knowing whether SC had reported her sighting of him and where she saw him or where she or BB saw a vehicle parked at the old Farm Bureau building which investigators determined was probably the old CPS building.

In the PCA, conservation officer DD does know where Richard Allen parked. I wonder if DD asked that question about where he parked or did Richard Allen volunteer the information?

The reason it is such a bold thing to tell DD is that police could have put it all together rather quickly based only on the location of Richard Allen's car and the theory that the killer needed to be parked somewhere in order to leave the Monon High Bridge area. If a witness sees an unknown person walking on a direct path on 300N in a direction back to a place where only one car is parked, it should have been a clue that Richard Allen was probably bridge guy or should have been looked into much closer, especially with the description SC gave of bridge guy early in the investigation. They should not have even needed the file clerk to find the tip.

I know DD and LE never put it all together back in February 2017 when Richard Allen gave his statement to DD, but they could have.

Richard Allen confirmed it, to many people including his wife and his Mom...many many times...Mom I wouldn't say I did it, if I didn't. He forced, with a gun, the girl's to go "down the hill" to sexually assault them. He had them strip but was interrupted by a van driving by. Instead he forced them across the creek and murdered them by slicing their throats with a box cutter. All of it confessed to, so very many times.

That bright spot doesn't necessarily have to be a watch anyway. In Winter when the Sun starts the trip downward to set it's very harsh/bright. That brightness could easily just be the Sun shining off his skin or possibly the gun he said he had. AJMO

Possibly, they could have. I believe it was a complete disorganized mess concerning the tips. We will likely never know from where the moniker Richard Whiteman came - either DD wrote it down wrong or made a typo when filling out his tip sheet, same as the tip being marked/labeled as cleared.

SC didn’t come forward for 3 weeks due to being scared, so LE probably wouldn’t have put it all together in 2 weeks - but yes, they could’ve done it much quicker had things been filed & done in a more orderly fashion. She wasn’t key in the trial but her statement to LE probably would’ve been quite damning.

I feel it wouldn’t have been just the car being parked at the CPS bldg - it was the whole tip. He gave them the timeline that fit; the passing of the girls near FB, verified by testimony & a photo BW took at a bench at 1:26P.

It is astounding. But men walk away from these crimes, often telling partial truths.
As for the detour around the Harvest store camera, MOO that was luck. The witness driving east on 300 saw a group of people
collecting at 300 at the trail entrance at Mears, as she proceeded she saw BG on 300 walking west and went by him.
MOO RA saw the group too, and to avoid them cut across the field to go behind Mears farm structures and on to the old CPS parking lot.

It is the part about LE asking about the car and its location from the April 2019 press conference that I wonder if Richard Allen ever saw on the news? Maybe it was the 2nd sketch released at that press conference that caused Richard Allen to not worry about what he told DD back in February 2017? DD must have forgotten. I know it is all in hindsight.

RA likely saw or read about the presser in 2019 & asking about the vehicle in itself likely tipped him off that LE still wasn’t on to him at that point. Might have been a relief or possibly even a thrill. Only RA has that answer.

DD likely was just a body to fill a need at the time in 2017 & not too actively focused on a murder investigation, given that 4 different agencies were directly involved in the case (DPD, CCSO, ISP & FBI) until 2021. His tip sheet was misplaced & DD either forgot, like you speculate, or just stopped assisting at some point, voluntarily or otherwise.

The jury saw and heard the recorded LE interviews, heard the confessions with his wife and mother, and saw the 5 hand selected videos by the Defense. They had a good voice sample for comparison.

I don't see KA sticking around after his appeals fail. Maybe she'll do a media tour like the LISK's wife?

Or perhaps she'll divorce his sorry backside, move and live out in obscurity somewhere, which is what I would do.

I just wish they had ran... He was out of shape ... Its so sad 😭
They were innocent children who had no idea what was happening, he was a creeper with a gun.

His being out of shape, not so much at the time of the murders. His big weight gain came after the murders, along with his shaved to the skin head and 8 inch ZZ Top goatee.

Hiding in plain sight.

Tonight/this morning I watch an interview with Prosecutor Nick. He said it wasn't the name that cause the issue, it was "cleared" written on his file. The tip had been filed with the cleared tips.

At about 44:45 he speaks of this.

Also further into the video they talk in detail about richard allen's confessions. Very interesting. Confessions went on for over a year. Speculated that killer richard allen may not have gone to trial had his family accepted his confessions.
