hey guys I was wondering what the strongest proof was that there was a sexual element to this case? was it that libby was found unclothed?
reason being I can't help but notice strong similarities to a unsolved murder that happened here in the UK in 1997, that of Kate Bushell.
A murdered schoolgirl whose body was discovered by her father, had her throat slashed, a post mortem showed.
Kate Bushell, 14, was found in a pool of blood in a field just 300 yards from her home.
Detective Superintendent Mike Stephens, who is leading the murder inquiry, said: "It was a mindless, ruthless attack, which ripped the girl's throat.
"This was a premeditated attack by a killer who had control of themselves and the victim."
Kate's dad, Jeremy, 44, called police on Saturday when she failed to return home from walking a dog belonging to neighbours.

similarities are a similar age, KB was 14. similar suspect who is thought to have local ties as the area of the crime was a really secluded and small lane, not known about broadly, a sexual element has not been ruled out as KB's clothes were found disturbed similar to the delphi case, a man who is suspected but has not been traced was seen on the lane very close to the time KB was out walking a neighbours dog with a blue hatchback car similar to the the delphi case, 5000 dna results were tested in the locality with no link being found, similar method used in the murder, this is speculative but it seems that KB was found off the lane in a nearby field this could be similar to RA forcing the kids off the trail into a more secluded area or that KB went to that field and was then followed by the suspect, another similarity is that a man was seen running from the area in bloody clothes although this is not the blue hatchback man, details on this individual is difficult to trace but he was seen running back tot he estate from which KB had come. he was also seen running away from the area just minutes before KB's body was found similar to the delphi case where RA said he stopped what he was doing due to seeing the van nearby, it makes sense that if he was the perpetrator he may have been disturbed by KB's parents who were searching for her maybe calling for her. KB's murder was also particularly brutal and was done in one swift motion as if the perpetrator had experience in slaughterhouses.
Other details. there were three people who the police wanted to speak to one was the blue hatchback man who was seen near a spot where people could collect horse manure for free, the other was the man seen running from the area towards KB's estate and the other was a homeless man seen in the area in the timeframe before KB was murdered but not seen after. the murderer was said to almost certainly have local knowledge of the area either was local or had friends, family or connections to it. A big clue was orange fibres found on Kate and the gate which was the entry point to the field she was found in, these fibres were orange non fluorescent and believed to have been used in work clothes at the time. The police believe someone knows the murderer or suspects them.
I'd appreciate anyone looking at KB'S case as it does seem so similar almost identical in many ways.

hope the mods are ok wiith me posting this, I see such strong similarities in the case that I thought the people who are very familiatr with the delphi case may be able to contribute meaningfully to the KB thread as well.
