Abby & Libby - The Delphi Murders - Richard Allen Arrested - #201

I haven't followed this case in a long time. I didn't even know there was a ritual theory.
In the beginning of the investigation it was claimed by investigators that there were numerous ritualistic “signs” that the killer or killers had purposely left at the crime scene. (They weren’t called signs though, it was another term, that I can’t recall) Deliberate posing of the bodies, usual placement of sticks, etc. IMO

I think they were interrupted at the first site before Libby was forced to undress, crossed the river to the second site, Abby's pants getting wet but possibly not her shoes and socks. Once across, he decides he could sacrifice one to do to the other what he wanted, and in that horrible moment, Libby tried unsuccessfully to get away.

The details from today are deeply disturbing. Real little girls, ripped from their families. Demonstrates how these are crimes against the State, committed in acts that violate all humanity.

“For five years, he lived in this community,” McLeland said. “He worked in this community. He hid in plain sight.”

The prosecutor said the audio and video evidence from Libby’s phone is expected to be crucial.

The judge has already torpedoed one of Allen’s lawyers’ alternative theories. In the discarded narrative, it was claimed the girls were murdered in a ritualistic sacrifice by a coven linked to Norse pagan religion Odinism.

One should not forget that the girls had been lying there deceased until lunch time the following day.

What clothing was still 'damp' then, perhaps may have been 'wet' - even soaking wet - the afternoon before and prior to the timing that the Prosecution believes "it was over".
you can tell jeans are wet because they will appear darker say from the knee down..upon looking and not touching you cannot guess the degree of dampness...it just depends on the jeans..the fabric..were they cotton? a cold damp night..
were they spandex and cotton? heavy or light..dampness is just descriptive and not a statement as to the degree of. ADDED. Color too...if the jeans had been completely soaked from top to bottom they would. have to wait for them to dry to know the original color of the jeans. I don't think there is a scientific way to time the dampness factor..you would have to fully re-create the environment. mOO

Yeah, it was what, over twenty hours?

That's long enough for some drying to occur.

100% yes. The ground was not entirely frozen, and it was not concrete. The earth around them was soft, because the girls were warm, at first.

If you have a garden that you water, you see how fast the earth absorbs moisture even in a cold night. These were not wet clothes someone left on the cold floor overnight. These were the clothes on a human, a girl, who was warm, and the earth soaked up the creek's water from the clothes the way it did the blood.

It is heart-breaking, but everything, thus far, is so easy to follow along, IMO.

Delphi Murders Trial is underway. This is day three. The families Pastor is at the courthouse on a day graphic pictures may be shown in the courtroom. This is video of people who lined up outside the courthouse beginning at 12:30a

(Respectfully Snipped by me)

I wonder if we will learn anymore about these black marks.
Before this becomes some other thing that can be twisted by the Defense somehow, during her live update on CourtTV, Barbara McDonald said that black bars had been placed over parts of Libby's body in the photographs shown to the jury to protect her modesty since she was nude. I'm almost certain that is what is meant. Not that that will matter to some.

It's at around 2:45 in the video below:

(Note, this is not directed at you Ella, just frustrated with the twisting of facts that keeps happening despite sworn testimony otherwise).

The investigators never said 'killers'. In particular, during Carters 2019 press conference he spoke over and over again about and to one killer.

I do not agree that (experienced, competent) investigators talked about ritualistic signs.

Thank you for clarifying that….it’s hard to keep things straight when getting bits and pieces from different reporters

- Libby’s mom and sister were visibly emotional.
- Richard Allen’s mom and step dad were holding hands as photos were shown.
- Richard Allen did not have much reaction to the photos.

Anybody observe Kathy Allen's reaction or was she not in the courtroom at the time?

Also, did any of the jurors look over at RA to gauge his reaction err... non-reaction?

I wonder if there was much more to his plan…was he walking them toward….a place, a shed/barn…somewhere and the spot they ended up was not the intention. The girls maybe made a huge attempt to fight back and it ended badly. Just thinking through possibilities. Just seems like his intentions would/could have been more but wasn’t able to “follow through” due to an interruption of his plan - possibly that fighting back when he thought he had complete control.
