The "down the hill" video/audio.
It isn't cutting it for you? How so? Sorry, I don't understand what you are referring to that is questionable?

Are you unsure if Libby took the video or if she took it that date and time?

  • #902
They'd look the same. How would she know it was brand new? I'd never know if my husband replaced a jacket or shirt with an identical new one. IMO
I would guess that she washed his cloths and could tell the difference between old and new just by looking and touching it.

It's been manipulated and fiddled with to within an inch of its life.

No, I think she took it. But I'm not believing the words we've been told are on it, were said by the person out there that day.

It would be very interesting to know, WHO put "cleared" on RA's file, when even the big mistake with the surname (Whiteman/Allen) hadn't been discovered at that time.

When DC spoke of a mistake being made by LE staff and not made with intention of course, was that in 2019 within the PC? They changed the direction of their investigation, he said. Whiteman/Allen and the wrong filing obviously wasn't meant, but another mistake. Wonder, which error was mentioned by DC.
MOO of course, but they made their biggest mistake when they honed in on RA and got tunnel vision. Rozzi did an excellent job of getting Liggett to actually show the jurors what a myopic and poor investigation this was and how nothing much so far actually supports RA as being BG.

I’m looking forward to the “confessions.” All MOO.

Liggett tells the jury that he did research on Allen’s vehicles in 2022 and that he went to CVS and got photos of the car. Liggett says the car was “backed in” at the CVS and “backed in” at the CPS building.

THAT^^^ is interesting. I'd always wondered why he backed in. Maybe he just likes to park that way for whatever reason?

I as well back-in to parking spaces and driveways. When working as a driver at a young age I drove a sububan and had to back-up to docks at companies to make deliveries, easy peasy.
And I’m a girl.

Does anyone know what day the details of the 60+ confessions will be introduced into evidence?
Probably at the end of the state's case. I think they'd want to end with a bang. And first they are building their case, brick by brick. Once they have a solid foundation, they can roll out the audio tapes of him confessing to his family and the written confessions to the warden. Then perhaps testimony from others that he confessed to?

Agreed. I think people were shocked in the court seeing how far away he actually was because the snippet we’ve been seeing for 7 years is so enhanced he looks much closer. It makes me question if the original could be ided to any specific man. He’s pixels as I’ve heard described.

Yep, they'll leave them until last.

Slap on the hand for the man who initially leaked the CS photos and started so much pain and drama online. I'm disappointed he didn't get some jail time or probation at least.

JMO
Very disappointed in that decision. The defense attorneys should have also faced some sort of sanction. Their actions were very irresponsible, if not suspect. JMO

Light punishment means we can expect this to happen again and again.

I'm wondering about the evidence of information about the crime that only RA knew about. Would that have been the revelation that he knew there were 3/4 girls on the trail who were witnesses?

He said it a second time.
eta: MassGuy beat me to it

During the search, Lt. Jerry Holeman testified that Allen sat with him in Holeman’s vehicle. He told Allen that if the police damaged any of his home or property, there was a form he could fill out. Holeman testified that Allen responded, “It doesn’t matter. It’s over.”

Holeman further testified that Allen said that phrase a second time when Holeman offered to drive Allen to see his wife at her place of work.

"It doesn't matter". It's over" IMO show someone is guilty (because I believe he is from the other evidence) and who was living with had a Damocles sword on top of his head and knew that moment might could happen anytime in his life. When happened, he maybe felt some of relief. IMO it matches with someone who made 61 confessions, At the same time, he also didn't want to get caught because changed his timeline, etc.

So far everything I have seen points to RA being the killer. I have no doubt he will be found guilty.

  • #913
I don't think the fact that RA backed into a parking space was as much the concern as he backed in to the furthest end away from many other closer parking places and other cars. Just another coincidence in a mile long list of coincidences I could name here, but we've heard it all before ad nauseam.

When does too many coincidences stop being coincidental? I'd say RA has surpassed his allotted Accused Defendant amount at this point and we still have confessions coming up.

Wow.

So no trophies at RA home apparently.

I admit that I have been expecting big evidence that we've never heard about. Maybe all the P has is already what we know...and so far that wouldn't be enough for me to convict. The confessions would have to be rock solid. What else is there, if the unspent round can be debunked?
I think they have been building a solid case so far, imo. Brick by brick. They illustrated why Bridge Guy is the killer.

And now they are showing us that Bridge Guy is actually RA. RA puts himself there on the bridge at the same time as BG, and admits to be wearing the same clothes as BG. His jeans even fit exactly like BG's, with the material clumped up at th bottom because of his short legs.

RA never said anything about seeing another male there on the bridge while he was there, or even one on the trail. And there was no male that came forward and described seeing RA there.

The ONLY man on the bridge was RA. His car was backed in at the CPS building, which is apparently the way he likes to park.

The girls said on the video that BG had a gun. And then we find out that RA has a gun just like the on that ejected a cartridge found between the victim's bodies. So he was dressed exactly like Bridge Guy, has short legs like BG, was on the bridge at the same time, a car like his was parked nearby, and he owned the same type of gun as BG.

If we add 60+ confessions to the above 'coincidences' it makes me lean GUILTY.

Rozzi asked Dulin if he saw deer standing in the woods hear the bridge, Dulin said there were. Rozzi asked if it is not uncommon to find shell casings in the woods.

Judge Gull stepped in and said to Rozzi, “If you’re going to impeach him, impeach him properly.”
Here, I am not quoting Yemelyan, but the news article linked to the post.

I'm sure no one needs another example of the difficulty of understanding what is going on in the courtroom.

Rozzi, according to other sources, did not ask Dulin if he saw deer standing in the woods near the bridge, that doesn't even make sense. He asked Dulin if he saw the deer STANDS in the woods, as other have stated, to show evidence of deer hunting in that location. The point being, hunters ofter have hand guns as well as long guns. But the judge cut off his questioning of the deer stands. For those that don't understand, deer stands are boards, planks, steps, ladders, platforms, etc, sometimes crude but also manufactured fold up metal chairs or stands, fasten to tree trunks, to enable hunters to ambush deer.

So, all this time Richard Allen never approached anyone before those images were released and Dullin stated that it wasn't uncommon to find bullets in that area.
Bullets are different from unspent cartridges though. Hunters don't usually leave unspent cartridges behind. And earlier testimony was that no other bullets or cartridges were found in the immediate area.
Speculation should totally be shelved once it is proven to be wrong.
Which speculation are you referring to?
Not directed at you just so you know.

Thank you for this new information!

Agreed, and wife and Mom didn't want to hear RA's confessions so they would hang up on him. They told him to stop it and that he was being brain washed. I think his fighting these charges can be twofold and RA actually being Not Guilty isn't one of them:

1) He wants and needs wife and mom's approval at all costs, they are all he has in his mind.
2) He is a guilty child killer enjoying to relive all the horrible testimony and photos in a last ditch effort to stay out of jail. What does he have to lose?

I think RA's finding God in jail is an act, just like his bowing his head and reading his Bible in the Courtroom. Not intended as a denigrating religious statement, just my opinion of this Defendant's actions.

Two dozen box cutters!?? Does he keep losing them?
I... just... mind has been boggled. I have never encountered a scenario in which a person who is not, you know, a box cutter distributor, keeps about 25 box cutters in their home. I am guessing not all of them in their original packages either?

Anxiety, fear of being found out or not... imagine if RA is the perp. And choosing to keep dozens of tools that every time he looks at them, or uses them, he get transported back to the moment he took the life of those innocent girls.

It makes me feel unwell.

I am thinking along the same lines as you.

But the lack of DNA in RA's house tying him to the crime is disappointing, in terms of setting it B-A-R-D. I know there could be reasons for that (ranging from he's not guilty to he had time to destroy it all), but I was really expecting something to have come from that search. It does make me ponder could there have been someone else, a second man that nobody but Abby and Libby saw. Then, I struggle to reconcile that thought with the video and the witnesses saying the man they passed was BG.

Curious to see what is presented today.
