Considering what we just learned today, RA molested children, Chris and Kevin, that we know of right now. I bet there were others. I think his wants just got greater and he wanted to up his control. If we hear him say he didn't mean to kill Abby and Libby, just sexually assault/rape them, THAT will be something I won't believe from him. I think he knew he was going to kill his prey. Small town CVS guy couldn't chance doing anything else and being recognised. IMO. AJMO

We still don’t know if this is true, and if those people even exist. I would absolutely expect behavior like that from a guy that would do this, but we need more information here.

This case has me more baffled than most. It's hard to reconcile that this sad-sack, self-reporting, possible bullet-dropping, bad-planning, confessing individual was somehow able to get away with this extraordinary violent, bloody crime with no DNA tying him to it. It boggles the mind. They've found blood in carpeting in cars years later. It's hard to reconcile the obvious impulsivity and bad planning of the crime with someone able to (a) clean up after himself meticulously, (b) avoid keeping trophies, and (c) meet with a representative of LE within days and keep his cool.

All that being said, I still have no doubt he's responsible.

I just don't get it.

LISK immediately comes to mind except I overlooked Allen’s actions of speaking with LE, which I believe RH thought himself untouchable and would have probably spoken with LE.

We learnt he said he did. He also said he killed his family, which he provably did not.

There's a lot of misdirection going on with these disclosures, and I'm reserving judgement at this point on what is real and what isn't.

He said he was being hypnotized by a bear claw. is that a sweet roll or a real bear claw? He's never getting out of prison. but frankly that seems a hollow punishment...but I guess the family doesn't want the DP. is that right?
I want him to name all his victims..he is obviously a pedophile and has molested people. I don't believe he was ever just going to rape them...he was going to rape and kill all along. he just doesn't want to admit it and I don't necessarily believe he didn't rape one of the girls or at least try. It's also not the first time I have heard a perpetrator say that they only meant to rape when first kidnapping the victim. yet here he is with a boxcutter and a gun..and he remembers screaming no one heard and that is part of his fantasy that I'm sure is relived on a nightly basis.

I know what Dr. Wala testified to at the 3 day hearings when RA mentioned something similar in regards to his friends and family.

Dr. Wala is testifying so she will give her views on such.

No there really wouldn’t be, that’s true. Although in many/most cases there also probably wouldn’t be the need for that with one perp, the presence of the gun alone would be sufficient.

The motives of both guys in this scenario would be something related to the CSAM connection. I don’t exactly remember how I saw it then, because I only genuinely considered this theory viable for a few months like a year and a half ago.

If my above post wasn’t clear on that that’s my bad—I currently and for a long time have thought there was one perp (RA). I don’t think the two perp theory is as fundamentally problematic as you and many others do, but we can definitely agree that either way it isn’t true!

One sock and a pair of underwear. I’m not sure if they specified who they belonged to, but I’d like to know.

-During testimony on Thursday, it was also revealed that some of the girls’ clothing was missing from the crime scene: a sock and a pair of underwear. That clothing still is missing to this day.

Well spending 14 hours somewhere with two and none of their clothes or skin told the tale of it? I think that's a mighty big long stretch in others company with no forensic evidence of it. It's just not logical. MO

Clarifying. I know there were clothing items missing according to Logan's search warrant and Allen's PCA.

Logan's SW mentions an item and I believe RA's mentions two. 1 Sock and a pair of Panties.

Since Abby's panties were found in the creek with her jeans inside out, it is safe to assume the Panties missing were Libby's.

Was on a one day vacation of sorts, so catching up a bit…

Assuming all P theory is correct, RA had some military training - how much, I cannot guess. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’d been taught how to carry an injured person like so many soldiers are forced to do in combat situations. I’ve seen mention of heart condition, etc. being a limitation yet he probably lifted boxes at work when stocking shelves, one could assume. Would it be possible to restrain someone with sleeves of a sweatshirt or legs of denim jeans around a tree, without leaving marks? What if he knew how to apply a chokehold of some sort that rendered one or both girls unconscious, not blocking the airway but blood supply in the neck? I don’t know if that would leave any signs for forensics to notice. It’s common in MMA for chokes to be applied & I have never noticed bruising on fighters. Just spitballing so go easy.

Also, with all that clothing found in the creek, I speculate that’s where most of the DNA evidence may have went. I’m no expert on blood or DNA but I could see the possibility of blood being washed away from clothing, depending on how much current & how clothing might be fanned out across limbs/tree trunks in a river. Nature quite possibly could have done some of the cleanup work. I’ve waded enough rivers & creeks to know all sorts of things washed downstream settle in different ways. I do feel gloves (latex) were probably involved.

Things to ponder for those who doubt it’s possible for one man to do this. I can’t state the following with any accuracy, but Abby’s wound seemed quite precise to me based on the information at hand - small, if you will. I can’t see a person in a hurry taking the time to inflict a precise wound. I don’t wish to come off insensitive, but I’d picture a hurried wound to be larger & more "movie-like". LGs wound, to me was just an animal & needs no discussion. She suffered. Abby could have been "choked out" as described above so the killer could handle the situation easier & might be why any screaming was at a minimum, if at all. Girls were scared to death, I’d imagine.

It really is challenging trying to fit all the pieces together. Just sad. Sorry this was so long.

Yes other issues like after a clean getaway, these two decide the best course of action is to bring two live captives back to where so many are actively looking for them including LE, not to release them but to slaughter them.
