I think back to Carter saying in the presser how they believe the perp told someone what they did OR they would know because of how different the perp is since the crime.

Yes, especially since he was there that day and he frequented the area.. so why didn't HE want to help if he had nothing to do with this and why didn't he want Kathy to help?

Yeah, the standard profile is a fixation on the crime, talking about the crime, drinking more than usual, change in appearance, change in behavior, etc.

My guess is that not only did his depression increase, but his drinking did as well. We also know he used to talk about this case to a local bartender.

Daily Beast spoke to the bar owner, Bob Matlock.

“He would come in and we would always talk about the girls and everything,” Matlock told Daily Beast. “We would carry on conversations about it. He would say, you know, ‘It’s such a tragedy,’ and we’d say we felt sorry for the families and all that, but we tried not to talk about it too much because we all knew the families.”

Clarifying. I know there were clothing items missing according to Logan's search warrant and Allen's PCA.

Logan's SW mentions an item and I believe RA's mentions two. 1 Sock and a pair of Panties.

Since Abby's panties were found in the creek with her jeans inside out, it is safe to assume the Panties missing were Libby's.

I thought there was only a colored sock (pink or purple?) and a black sock recovered in the creek? Libby was nude and Abby had her shoes on with no socks? Two missing sock?

Another point they mentioned hearing KA say to RA (admittedly they said KA was soft spoken and hard to hear) something along the line of "You told me you weren't on the bridge".

I’ve never been more sure of an innocent man being railroaded in my life.

Does anyone other than the murder sheet say that Kathy Allen said to Rick “you told me you never went out on the bridge?”

I can’t find that in any press pool or updates from today and tms is the only one saying it.

My understanding has always been she was at work that day.

There was mention here way back that one of KA's siblings passed away around the time of the crime and she was often traveling back and forth because of this.

Have you ever tried to scream over a creek and against the wind? Maybe a few minutes sustained screaming might get someones attention- but he had a gun to threaten with so MOO that was not happening.

If you are facing the wind and talking to someone 5 ft away they most likely cannot hear you. If the wind is blowing from behind you, your voice will carry a very long way, especially over a large body of water ( the creek was a small stream). If the wind is totally still under 3 mph your voice can carry as much as a 1/2 mile or more. This is all from my experience living in a windy region and IMOO. Do your own test in the wind. The kill zone was in dense trees where even a breath of wind would easily blow the trees and limbs and make quite a bit of noise adding the dense leaf bed would muffle all sounds. IMOO

I’m thinking anything that could be was burned. Hard to definitively say if trophies/mementos were kept once LE shifted towards him. I’d speculate after the DD meeting most items were destroyed.

I found the response to Holeman, "was it a Carhartt jacket?" To be interesting since he told them he owned an off-brand Carhartt. I’m inclined to think he was fishing for information during interviews as much as he was answering questions. Interviewers didn’t seem to try & lay any traps from my perspective beyond lying about evidence & whatnot.

I looked back at his testimony and he does say her body may have turned. He gives the option of her body turning or her head turning that caused that blood flow pattern to be sustained. I do think it was the latter, like you mentioned, because the phone was under her and there was no recorded movement after 2:32 p.m.

This has probably been discussed, sorry I’m not recalling….. is it thought by fellow posters that the phone was in Libby’s pocket the whole time after the video recording? And then maybe fell out when her jeans were put on Abby? Then at some point it fell out onto the ground and her body was over it? Incredible and so lucky that he didn’t witness that happening, if so! The chaos that must have been happening

Agreed it's difficult to imagine, but he's armed with multiple weapons, they're in a desolate area, and he may have positioned one victim with her back towards both himself the other victim when he struck for murder. He also might have used soft but effective restraints that either left no mark or the marks had faded by the time the victims were found.

Do we have any testimony at all that provides evidence of any restraints used? if so, is there a link? I didn’t think there had been any but maybe I’m a bit behind. Ty.
