DELPHI — On Day 10 of the Delphi Murders Trial on Tuesday, video evidence of Richard Allen's interview with police was seen in court for the first time.

It was also the first time the court heard the voice of Allen, who faces multiple counts of murder in the February 2017 deaths of Abby Williams and Libby German.

Before the videos were played, Special Judge Fran Gull asked the jury if any of them had been contacted by the media or anyone regarding the case. All jurors answered no.

My question: Is this just standard operating procedure/a random check-up?

For anyone that wants to read the facts of the timeline for the girls walking and why it's proven the exact times they were in certain places.

She was there with her friend Breann Wilber who happened to take photos that day. She has a photo time stamped 1:26 of them sitting on a bench along the trail. This was taken just before they ran into the man they saw on the trail. She also was friends with Libby on Snapchat. Libby saw the picture she posted of the MHB and messaged her to ask if they were still there and she said they left 10 minutes prior to that message. So despite one of the girls not knowing the exact time she passed by this man, someone in her group has digital evidence to show what time it would have been.

exactly. there is no bridge guy at 2.15.

the time was close to 1.30 which we know from corroborating digital data points.

Mullin and Liggett step out of the room, Allen checks his phone. They return and show him photos of his car going to the trail. Mullin says “we’ve been able to talk to your wife and daughter.” Mullins says his wife and daughter describe Allens mental health issues. Mullin shows Allen a picture of bridge guy. Mullin asks “is this you?” Allen says “I was going to shoot myself one night, I don’t have psychological issues because I went out and killed two girls.” This is really interesting. It's common in post offense behavior, but we do know he has mental health issues to begin with.

Interesting tidbit here about LE speaking with his daughter.

We know his wife accompanied him to the station.

But when did LE speak with his daughter??

She's married and lives away from Delphi. LE also spoke with some of her friends as / the Three Day Hearings testimony.

Spousal priviledge would not apply. Ae we going to hear from his daughter on the stand I wonder?

The prosecution have to prove this to be the case BARD. Which IMO they have failed to do so far.

And we are yet to hear the defense.

This… not starting with the assumption of guilty but starting with innocent until proven guilty- in a vacuum- taking only what has been presented thus far, in court (as best can be understood given the media limitations) I’d have a hard time seeing BARD that RA is BG and then BG is the killer-

And even if RA was BG — BG is the killer (because who else could have it been?) hasn’t been shown-

All the circumstantial evidence thus far hasn’t shown that - and as far as I know, the D has to poke enough holes in their case to show reasonable doubt- not give a plausible explanation for all of the claims-

But proving RA is BG and BG is the killer hasn’t been proven BARD so far - and no I don’t have theories to explain everything- and I don’t know that RA didn’t do it - he could be 110% guilty as charged and possibly to probably is-

I am saying that starting with a presumption of innocence and based on what has been presented so far in court -and being intellectually honest with myself- it is not FACT nor has proven that RA is guilty - based upon the P’s case thus far - for me- moo

from your link. Leads me to wonder if RA had no clue WHERE he lost that cartridge. Reminds me that some feel there was a "racking" noise in the video from the bridge.

Blair, is Betsy Blair who arrived at the Mears' parking entrance at 1:46 p.m.

She saw "BG" on Platform 1 from 50 feet away shortly before she saw Abby and Libby walking on the trail after they had been dropped off by Kelsi at 1:49 p.m. Abby and Libby were heading to the Monon High Bridge, where BB had just seen "BG" on Platform 1.

That means digital evidence confirms that BB saw "BG" somewhere between 1:46 p.m. when BB arrived, and 2:05 p.m. when Libby, who was standing on the bridge, took a Snapchat photo of just the bridge, between Platform 1 and Platform 2.

When BB left she drove past the Hoosier Harvest Store's camera at 2:14 p.m.

It's even tighter than that IMO.

BB used up minutes to get to that spot on the path. (And likewise just minutes behind her, Abby and Libby are moving toward the bridge as minutes tick away.)

Libby iirc took a photo of the empty bridge before they crossed it, a few minutes before the photo of Abby, about half way across.

That practically geolocates BG.

He couldn't have been more than a minute or three away from the bridge, on direct course to encounter Abby and Libby.

Precise.

Regarding details - just thinking about it, I’m not sure I’d be able to remember what I was wearing on a specific day 5.5 years ago. Especially if that day held little significance for me. He could have easily said he doesn’t remember, could have been any number of things he wore. Instead, he describes clothing consistent with eyewitness accounts and the BG video.

I wouldn’t be able to recall. In this instance all he really recalled was that he wore blue jeans - which may be his go-to style of pants. The jacket would have been cause for an “unusual” day in that he went to his moms, went by his house for what(his jacket) and then on to the trails. Would make a stronger memory - going by his house. Then the fact that he has already had to talk to someone prior about this, might make it stick in memory better. All JMO.
