Sorry, this was a double post.

The mental image is sinking in for me.

He guzzled 3 beers, senselessly slaughtered two budding young women, then guzzled 3 more beers.

Cold.
Callous.
Sickening.
I don't think it matters for the trial, but I am crious if he did in fact harm his sister or did he want to or think about it. What about the grandparent he said harmed him.. I was it reported as grandpa and someone else said grandma so not sure as it seems the audio is hard to hear in the courtroom. Was he harmed, did he harm his sister?

What is in that letter from his mom in the box? Is there a family secret that has haunted RA? Again it doesn't matter for the specifics of this crime, but it could explain why going to see his mom that day and then they were going to lunch and he chose not to go and instead went to buy beer, drink them, get his coat and gun and then go to the trails hunting down 2 girls.. I'd say THAT idea didn't come out of nowhere and it might be he was triggered by something that happened while visiting his mom IF there is some truth to what else he was saying about molesting and being molested.

More from Dr. Wala:

Wala told the jury on April 5, 2023 Allen discussed his case with her, unprompted.

Wala said Allen claimed he molested his sister and experimented sexually with male and female children his age when he was a kid. Wala said Allen told her this is where he thought his problem started.

Wala told the jury Allen said he had been an alcoholic twice since 2011. Allen told her he accepted God on March 21, 2023 and expressed remorse for the killings, according to Wala.

Wala said Allen expressed appreciation for being clothes and fed at Westville, he asked for bibles and slept with one. She said he asked to speak with a chaplain.

Wala told the jury she that Allen “had a bizarre smile” and claimed he had memory lapses. She said he “confessed in a very matter of fact manner.” Wala said she thought he could have been purposeful and instrumental with his confessions. She said she was aware he had written confessions in request and requested an interview.

Wala said Allen’s normal eye-contact was “sometimes intense,” and that she saw “intermittent gazing, but then would be normal.” “His emotions were kind of up and down,” she said.

In a report from April 7, 2023:

Wala told Allen that he had confessed and told him it was not in his best interest, that it could get to the media. Wala told the jury that she felt like he was being more blatant with his confusion. She said she felt he was purposeful being that way, faking it.

Wala told the jury that Allen said that he “didn’t sign anything, right?”

The next report is from April 10, 2023. Wala tells the jury that she noticed “faking” symptoms. She said Allen was naked during this meeting, that there were papers on the floor and was doing “unknown things” to his penis and talking about his wife. Wala tells the jury that the papers on the floor were the discovery paperwork for the case.

This is just beyond words. My heart bleeds for Abby and Libby and their families. If only they had not crossed his path that afternoon.

Unfortunately if it hadn’t been them it would likely of been another innocent child at some stage.

Posted five hours ago:

Today is Day 11 in the Delphi Murders Trial - and we will likely hear more of the confessions Allen made while incarcerated in solitary confinement for 13+ months. I anticipate: recorded calls with his wife and mother, and testimony from Dr. Monica Wala who treated Allen, and

diagnosed him with psychosis. At some points even medicating him against his will. Wala is a former employee of a vendor hired by Indiana DOC, and has admitted to listening to podcasts/youtube shows about the case while she was treating Allen.

Yesterday we heard from 9 current or former DOC guards/warden about confessions they heard. None were specific except for one that mentioned Allen used a box cutter he stole from CVS in the murders.

Problem with that is that the forensic path. who did the autopsies testified he could never ID the weapon used until he began to speculate in the last few months that it could have been a box cutter. His speculation came AFTER Allen is said to have made the box cutter comment.

She testified that that thought had crossed her mind, she testified that he was suffering from severe psychosis.
And then she testified that he was much better.

Made sure they were dead so they wouldn't suffer.

Yeah, no, he didn't suddenly become a caring murderer.

More, he made sure they could never tell on him.

Lot of covering up.

Getting a sense that RA has been trying to cover up parts of his dark psyche for a long time. Or rather, constantly seeking validation, despite them. Codependent mess of a man.

“Wala told the jury Allen said he had been an alcoholic twice since 2011.”

I’ve been a virgin twice since the 1960s.

Are men's sizes different to ladies? I'm 5'4. I'm not a size four shoe, not even in kid sizes. Ty in advance. Not moo as this is a question.
a size four mens shoe is like a size 6 woman's shoe :). hope this helps.

I know we are essentially beyond the point of talking about sketches, but to me, the courtroom sketches, done professionally with RA right there all day long, still do not greatly resemble what I see in recent photographs of him.

Perhaps because we can’t see him live in court, he does look like this now, somehow. Personally I think this just doesn’t look like his face.

I think he’s simply hard to capture in sketches, possibly.

It could just be me, if others here do feel that this sketch looks like RA as he is now.

Is he wearing the same clothes everyday?

Maybe that would be a reason LG had so many cuts to her neck. He freaked out because she was obviously suffering and tried to end it quicker. Just my thought

I don't usually get emotional about trial watching and generally able to remain objective, but this trial has left me fairly horrified. Since when do we put people who are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a max security prison for 13 months? How often does that happen in our country? And that's only the beginning of issues so far that have left me astounded.
I get emotional about two children who were forced to walk down a hill and have their throats brutally slashed.

JMO YMMV

  • #372
When did we learn that the girls' throats were slashed? I feel like it was recently with the ME's testimony?

"He then said he forced the girls down the hill, across the creek, slashed their throats, covered their bodies with tree branches and walked back to his car."
Do we know if LE released info about the branches before this interview??
That would have been a major blunder!!! ...imo
LE has to withhold some info only the killer would know.

I have heard different descriptions of clothes on different days - a light purple shirt some days, a light green one on another for example.

I was going to say this but did not want to be too graphic but without details yes I believe this.

Which means that his feet are about the size of mine in 4th grade before finally ending with a 7, at 5'4 after puberty. What an outlier.

Hahahahah. I think that means on two occasions he said that.

Sorry. Maybe I should have given a warning first. Lesson learned.

  • #378
If someone was walking by him or even if he was sitting and others passed him by - wouldn't they smell the alcohol like a brewery?

The trail doesn't seem too wide, but I'm sure you'd get a whiff of that if within close proximity.

JMO MOO JMT

All the accounts I'm reading from wishtv, Fox59, etc. say it was 3 beers before the murders, and the remaining 3 after he was back home.

Unless he slopped it all over himself, why would anyone walking by him smell 3 beers?

Ok, so where did the idea that he was in a size 4 come from then? I posted a link that suggests he'd be a 7-9 - well above a 4 for a man or woman... Is there a link? Did LE measure footprints at the scene or something I"m missing? Ty in advance

No harm at all I was just agreeing with you. I believe we are going to hear a lot more and it's a lot to take in.
