IME and IMO, the defense will advise their client to have their family and/or friends in court whenever feasible, because whether it’s a simple possession of a controlled substance case or a violent crime, having a support network is seen as favorable, it shows that the accused has people who are there for him/her despite the charges at hand, IMO. With that in the back of my mind I wonder if RA’s daughter or sister has shown up in support of him at any hearing, does anyone know? I am aware of his spouse, parent and step-parent having been present but not sure otherwise. JMO.

Richard Allen gave information only the killer would know: he covered the victims with branches. Not sticks or twigs but branches. He stated he had a gun! He displayed zero signs of psychosis.

I have seen no mention of either of those two family members being in the courtroom thus far. Whether that is a personal decision made by them or because they are prevented from doing so because one side or the other intends to call one or both as witnesses I won't speculate

Confession: He then followed them to the bridge, did something to his gun and thought that was when the cartridge came out, told the girls "down the hill."He said he planned on a sexual assault but saw a van, "got scared" and decided not to, crossed the creek and "cut necks," covered the bodies with branches.

Jury will have to weigh a confession against when he obtained discovery
Per walla testimony there was discovery paperwork on the floor April 10,2023 - which is before May 3, 2023

He had received the discovery well before May.

And?
I am not following you and what this means to you.
No amount of discovery is going to put these words in his mouth.
Do you think it is logical that the discovery shows that he was interrupted by BW, so he continued by moving the girls across the creek?
While it puts things in the order that LE believes, only Richard Allen would be able to tell us what happened.
And he has.

This is from Wish Tv's live blog:

Wala told the jury “it appeared he received the discovery around the time he started confessing.” She said the prison warden did not want other incarcerated individuals to see the discovery papers and that is why the guards started watching him instead of other inmates."

This hits on something that I wondered about. My knee jerk reaction is that I don't think it is a great idea to allow inmates to keep discovery, especially crime scene or autopsy photos, with them in their cell. Though I recognize they are entitled to be able to access it so as to assist in their own defense, it seems there is also a great risk of it being used as barter with other inmates who have an interest in violent and sexually oriented material. I wish there was a way to balance the legal aspect of having discovery that pertains to something you're accused of, and being able to exploit the materials for personal gratification or gain.

I’m not OP but had questions as to what was in the discovery? Crime scene photos? Autopsy reports? What did he have access to already?

I don’t know- but if he had access to details or photos that would make a difference- I’m just ignorant of what all he would have received in “discovery” -

He may have started his day 50 sheets to the wind, drank his breakfast before downing a 6 pack for lunch...

We are finally meeting the real RA.

It ain't pretty.

JMO
Exactly, welcome to the RA show. He's been hiding in plain sight his whole life. He's a vile child murderer who gets zero sympathy from me. He acted out one of his sick fantasies IRL and left Abby and Libby lying dead with their throats cut and bleeding out and went on about his pathetic little life.

A 6 pack sure as heck didn't "cause" him to do this, it was his evil perversions. My sympathy is and will continue to be reserved for the innocent VICTIMS in this case, Abby & Libby and their families.

RA=BG=Kiler=Spineless, sniveling, pathetic, evil excuse of a man IMO.

I hope he never walks a step as a free man again. Yes, LE made mistakes, but that does not in any way diminish or negate the fact of RA's guilt or his punishment.

As always, JMO

Some random thoughts.

He says he lost the bullet when he says down the hill but that isn't possible

He says used off trail to stay hidden after committing the murder so who did SC see that was muddy and bloody

Jury will have to weigh a confession against when he obtained discovery

I think he stated he did something with the gun and that is when he thought he lost the bullet. Possibly on the bridge?

Libby's phone ceased movement at 2:32 p.m. and SC saw the man at 3:57 p.m.

I’m still waiting for what the prosecution promised us in opening statements, details of the crime scene only the killer would know.

Not details that people with discovery would know.

More from Dr. Wala:

Wala told the jury on April 5, 2023 Allen discussed his case with her, unprompted.

Wala said Allen claimed he molested his sister and experimented sexually with male and female children his age when he was a kid. Wala said Allen told her this is where he thought his problem started.

Wala told the jury Allen said he had been an alcoholic twice since 2011. Allen told her he accepted God on March 21, 2023 and expressed remorse for the killings, according to Wala.

Wala said Allen expressed appreciation for being clothes and fed at Westville, he asked for bibles and slept with one. She said he asked to speak with a chaplain.

Wala told the jury she that Allen “had a bizarre smile” and claimed he had memory lapses. She said he “confessed in a very matter of fact manner.” Wala said she thought he could have been purposeful and instrumental with his confessions. She said she was aware he had written confessions in request and requested an interview.

Wala said Allen’s normal eye-contact was “sometimes intense,” and that she saw “intermittent gazing, but then would be normal.” “His emotions were kind of up and down,” she said.

In a report from April 7, 2023:

Wala told Allen that he had confessed and told him it was not in his best interest, that it could get to the media. Wala told the jury that she felt like he was being more blatant with his confusion. She said she felt he was purposeful being that way, faking it.

Wala told the jury that Allen said that he “didn’t sign anything, right?”

The next report is from April 10, 2023. Wala tells the jury that she noticed “faking” symptoms. She said Allen was naked during this meeting, that there were papers on the floor and was doing “unknown things” to his penis and talking about his wife. Wala tells the jury that the papers on the floor were the discovery paperwork for the case.

not a clinical psych - do the patients just undress sometimes or start doing whatever during their treatment interviews? Curious if staff ever felt threatened by the defendant. Is he in a holding cell when she meets with him?

I don't think we the public heard about the branches until the first Fictional Franks Memo.. Makes sense now why they needed to put this out to the public to blurr things.

i hope after this is all over there is some accountability for those who spread conspiracies for a confessed child killer.

That can't be it.

He could have got that from the Discovery - this isn't eye popping or jaw dropping nor what I'd expect as something only the killer would know.

Still waiting for the game changer.

I want to know where Sheryl got this depiction she is using. none of the ones described as being shown to the jury in court illustrate twigs and branches resembling a set of horns above Abby's head. The only depictions that have done that are ones created by the DT and bandied about in reddit chat.

He is a lovely catch isn’t he. He claims he molested his sister and an alcoholic and let’s not forget eating his own poop. Plus all his mental battles.

Add to that, a self-admitted pedophile and pervert.

Exactly. And that's why he started confessing. He knew he was nailed. Faking psychosis may have been in his mind to keep from "disappointing" his wife and family, and to seek a lower sentence than death.
