Abby & Libby - The Delphi Murders - Richard Allen Arrested - #211

I have wondered this as well since I don't believe that the health app tracks steps when you're in a car. To me, steps means they're taking steps/walking or jogging but they're not in a car moving and they're not stationary. MOOO.
I thought that might have been them sliding down the hill but it's too far of a distance and it surely wouldn't take them that much time. I'm stumped.

Baldwin asks Mullin if they had ever heard of a white van 30 minutes outside of Delphi with a suspicious thin man asking kids if they wanted candy. Mullin says he does not recall.

They do understand that this is the jury trial and they should strive to maintain internally consistent narratives at this point, right? So now are we speculating that the white van that RA didn’t see because the confession is the product of psychosis was actually also driven by the person that killed the girls by luring them in with candy?
Oh My !! o_O

A white van with a person luring children with candy ?!?!?!

Was it windowless ???

This D team certainly loves to illustrate some colorful fan fiction !!

I have been following since day one as a lot of us here have done and not once have I heard of a white van with a perv driver luring children with candy.

Just NO !!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah but it makes no sense to me. If the State's theory is he was interrupted by BW's arrival - if he got home around 2:30 - I don't know the exact time he gave - but if the phone stopped moving at 2:32 then the kids weren't just crossing the creek at that point. They weren't at the area at the bottom of the hill under the bridge. They couldn't be and still make it to where that phone ended up imo - especially when the State has claimed the terrain was difficult - you can search my prior posts to get the link to that.

That's fantastic!

By all accounts, although the witness was interviewed shortly after the abduction/murder, and there was no mention of his vehicle.

Richard Allen then described the witness' vehicle during a confession, accurately describing his vehicle as a white van.

The only way that Richard Allen knew what the witness was driving that day at that time is that Richard Allen was there, "down the hill" with Libby and Abby, when the van passed at 2:30.

During prosecution opening statements, they said that Richard Allen had information that only the murderer knew: the white van. The defence said during opening statements that they would prove that the girls were taken away in a vehicle and then taken to the ravine in the middle of the night. We're waiting to hear more about that theory.

I think we did hear ANOTHER/ Part of that theory today-
( but with a CandyMan instead of a ritual group)

The Candyman in the white van luring children with candy.

Why did his sis tell him that he spit on the girls?

Maybe there's a reason they can't let it go.
There's the guy TL saw on the private drive road and there's a sketch of his face.
There's the car that was seen along the road, an older model
and the D showed him a pic of a car that fit the description.
Maybe the D found that car and who it belonged to?
That would be weird, because the defense tried to get testimony and evidence admitted by speculating that he was driving a white truck and a white truck was seen at the CPS building later in the day on 2/13.

The jury would have no way of knowing this, but we can all read the defense’s filings and see the ever-changing narratives.

2:18-2:25 lines up with the girls and RA/BG going down the hill and stopping. And then RA/BG moving everyone because BW drove by at 2:25.

I don't have confusion about that part. Did GH have the whole distance from the beginning?

There are no steps recorded between 2:08 and 2:18. That should be while they are crossing the bridge. That part only shows meters (414.38); the bridge is only 800' long iirc.

Libby literally records BG at 2:13 with her phone. We know they are moving and on the bridge.

I mean, that seems like a pretty important datapoint, right? If the whole premise is he came at a certain time that forced certain activity to happen, wouldn’t it be helpful to know that time?

He said he left at 2:02. It’s a 20-25 minute drive. So he arrived at the house between 2:22 and 2:27. This is consistent with BW passing the area RA was in at 2:25, and scaring him. They then moved for another 7 minutes, across the creek and up to the crime scene.

The timeline fits perfectly once the times are actually known.

Did Webber say he checked his ATM's on the computer and that would tell him if he needed paper or money? I could swear I read that. I don't think he physically stopped each day and checked on them but through a computer program. JMO

Weber said he looks on a computer to see how much money is left in the ATMs, fills their cash and receipt paper himself. Weber said that in 2017, he got money from Regents Back.

But Libby is stationary at the end of the bridge so not walking. She's talking photos of Abby and BG. MOO
Ok. You're thinking they were standing at the end of the bridge for 7 minutes before BG got to them? It's always been an opinion that he was on them quickly and then went down the hill.

I admit I've had a mental block with this and I just can't make it work from beginning to end.

Lest we forget what made matters worse for RA was that his relatives refused to reassure him that they would still love him and not abandon him, even if it turned out that he was the killer. Bam!!

They stuck by him by repeatedly saying that he didn't do it, that they didn't want to hear about it, that he should keep quiet....

They didn't assure him that they would stand by him, even if he was the killer. I've said it before, this drove him into total emotional isolation and despair, which is why he told everyone his confessions.

He had to get rid of it...

The sister allegations were deemed unreliable according to what I recall from the 3-day hearing in July/24. The D introduced none of what you refer to during that same hearing so now, almost 8 years later suddenly D finds a car? Sorry but I don’t believe it.

The real issue is the D are incapable of defending their client so their only hope is to deflect, hoping the jury won’t notice that’s RA still up there on that bridge. JMO

I've never read anything from the D about a white truck being parked at the CPS bldg. Is it in the link you posted?
