Do we have any idea as to why JG denied the geofence and cell phone tracking information? It makes no sense considering RA said he had his phone with him - should that not have also then shown him leaving the area? Should it not make it clear he was NOT at the property on which the kids were found dead at any point that day?? Not moo - asking questions.

I apologize if this has been asked/mentioned…I have fallen behind. I’ve heard KA had stepped out midday (maybe Friday? Guessing) and hasn’t come back since. Is this still the case? Also heard that the daughter testified but would not make eye contact with RA and KA was not there during this either.

IF she has not come back, are there any theories as to why not or has anything been said?

I would agree the prosecution's case could be stronger and absolutely LE did a poor investigation; however, the jury doesnt have to agree w/the prosecution's theory in order to convict the defendant.
The jury need only to agree BARD said defendant committed the murder of two innocent children.

I hear ya, and I think deliberations are going to be interesting. I'm not confident the jury will go BARD on guilty. I can see a hung jury or an acquittal maybe but I don't know they'll go BARD on guilty. mooo

BB is the woman who walked down the trail wearing her fitbit, observed BG on the first platform, then turned to continue her walk and passed by Abby & Libby on their way to the bridge.

BB is the last indvdual to see those young ladies before their killer kidnapped them from that bridge and brutally murdered them.
Interesting that the defense is calling her. Did the state also call her as a witness?

Okay, so there sits fragile RA dressed up like a robin’s egg today.

9 a.m. - Richard Allen is wearing a baby blue shirt, khakis and glasses on his head.
The man WITHOUT blue eyes is wearing always blue to make his eye color shine even more. ;)

I doubt the information would be confusing to the jurors if explained well by the experts... I think this is the State being desperate to allow anything that might show RA as possibly not guilty to the jurors. Moo. Appeals are going to be hella interesting if there is a conviction. MOo.

Your quote is apparently from the State’s motion in limine where they’re asking to exclude the geofencing data. The judge granted that motion.

Your attachment seems to be a transcript of testimony.
They asked to exclude geofence data that was not relevant, or for the purpose of confusing the issues or misleading the jury. As I highlighted. The judge granted this paragraph unmodified.

Geofence as a whole was not excluded.

The entire reason for this is because the defense was coming up with crazy theories by misinterpreting the geofence data, so the MIL included a provision that any geofence data must be relevant, etc.

I’m not sure what you mean about my attachment being testimony. I attached the motion in limine. I’ll attach it here again.

Thanks BUF!! BUT - who is Betsy Blair - a trail walker? TIA!
@Niner,
Here's BB's testimony today. I will try to locate her testimony via State, and post that as well. :)

Defense then called Betsey Blair, a witness who told police she saw “Bridge Guy”

Blair said the prosecution did not ask her what car she was driving on Feb. 13, 2017, earlier in the trial.

She testified that she went to the trails near the Monon High Bridge on Feb. 13, 2017, and then left after a while. She returned to the trails at 1:45 p.m. and left for good at 2:15 p.m.

Blair told the court she left Mears entrance and turned left. She saw wone car in the CPS lot. It had been backed into a parking spot and its front was pointing toward the county road. She said the car was not a bright color like red or yellow.

Defense attorney Andrew Baldwin asked Blair if it was not a black car. She said she didn’t recall.

Baldwin handed Blair a statement she made on April 2, 2019. In the statement, she says the car could not have been black.

Blair said she only saw the side of the car and couldn’t tell if it was a hatchback, adding that she even drew the profile of the car for police.

The jury was then shown a defense exhibit — Blair’s drawing of the car.

The defense ended its questioning and cross-examination began at 9:30 a.m.

Are the murder sheet people there in court?

It’s really surreal how one has to leave their seats before lunch hour to go stand in line outside to be assured of afternoon seating.

Yup, And by the end of last week and this week, there have been a lot of people who were have been there everyday who suddenly weren't able to get back in for the afternoon sessions.

The reports of people getting a seat in court and then leaving after 10 minutes so the seat then sits vacant for the rest of the session is frustrating.

Interesting that the defense is calling her. Did the state also call her as a witness?
I believe they did yes... her statements were featured in the Franks motion(s) (first one for sure, don't quote me on the others). Very interesting that they're calling her back! I wonder what the State didn't present during her time as their witness that was beyond the scope for the D so they're calling her back up!?

If the data would not be confusing or misleading and was relevant, it would be allowed. The motion in limine quite literally and clearly specifies they only seek to limit irrelevant, confusing, or misleading geofence data.

I guess that confirms the RA car model as a Ford Focus SE 5Dr Hatchback and not the 4 door model -- if they're asking her whether it was a hatchback or not.

IIRC, that was the one that resembled a smart car to me.

There was no reason given in her order. The State wanted it excluded because apparently it shows a couple of other phones in the area during the relevant time period.

Unaccounted for or do they know who owned them?
I'm guessing unaccounted because surely everyone with a registered phone that pinged the tower during that time would've been questioned?.
Was/is it possible to buy phones in the US without having to go through a contract?
We used to call them PAYG ( pay as you go) phones in the UK. You could walk into a store and pick one up off the shelf with the sim card included in the pack. There was no need to declare your name or address to top it up with credit. You could buy minutes over the counter of lots of stores.
Almost impossible to trace.

Um.....didn't RA himself say he was there on his phone checking stock?? He also said he was on the bridge on the 1st platform.

Geofence would tell us that he didn't have his phone with him. He lied.

As an example, Cheyenne Mills was contacted by LE and notified her that her phone was pinged as being at the high bridge on Feb. 13th. It was in the geofence.
