Music helps me cope too; I’ve listened to this during the trial and deliberations. The lyrics remind me of Abby’s and Libby’s lives. They are forever linked in my memory.

“Deep in the stillness
I can hear you speak
You're still an inspiration
Can it be
That you are my
Forever love
And you are watching over me
From up above…

I know you're there
A breath away's not far to where you are”

DELPHI, Ind. – After getting the case on Thursday, jurors in the Delphi murders trial found Richard Allen guilty of murder on Monday.

The decision meant jurors found the state’s evidence—including a bullet an expert matched to Allen’s gun and his prison confessions—compelling enough to convict him.

They were less swayed by the defense assertion that the investigation was sloppy, and Allen’s confessions were false.

It’s interesting how the 12 jurors all unanimously agreed he was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in spite of various YouTubers and influencers and grifters saying over and over and over again how there just wasn’t any evidence RA was involved, how the state’s case was so weak, and that it was clear he was being railroaded.

I wonder if these same commentators will claim the jurors were all in on the Odinist conspiracy, too.

On WTHR's live feed, the reporter (edit: it's Bob Segal) who has been in the courtroom every day is discussing the phone call confessions, specifically the one to RA's mom and whether he was in his right mind when he made them. He says that RA came across very logical in the confessions. In the one to his mom, RA said "I did it." And when the mom says "no, you didn't." And RA says calmly and emphatically "Mom...I won't sit here and tell you I did it, if I didn't do it."

I missed it, but saw the alert on my phone. I was waiting to get my little granddaughter off the bus. I broke down in tears as I watched her and her friends laughing, talking, making plans, shouting see you tomorrow and giving hugs to each other…..a simple part of a child’s life that was ripped from Abby & Libby by a cruel monster. My heart is broken for their family and those who loved them. The simple things are gone and the big things will never happen.

I always believed RA = BG and this intelligent and thoughtful jury were so brave to endure this horrific trial, while being able to render a just verdict. Thank you jurors.

Congratulations to LE for getting justice for these sweet girls. I hope they found peace in the verdict.

I hope there is some accountability for those who tried to pervert justice in this trial but i doubt it. They’ll just go on to the next case.

#BREAKING Richard Allen is found guilty by the jury in the Delphi murders trial. All of the attorney’s, and the families of Abby and Libby, are still under a gag order by Judge Gull. We won’t be hearing from them today.

I agree with Alice from the Prosecutors that this should never have gone to trial and normally never would have.

One day that story will come out.

My thoughts are with Abby and Libby's families today. I'm sure the verdict is a relief, but it doesn't end the nightmare they've been though for the past 7 years.

And thank god for Kathy Shank. I hope that LE agencies everywhere will learn lessons from this case for the sake of future investigations.
