I wonder if RA will confess and apologize now that this trial is over. The lying and pretending has obviously taken its toll on him. I wonder if he will just try again to find god and take accountability.

Of course, even if he did, there will now always be those who claim it was a fix/he’s lying to cover it up…

Just wondering if he’d find relief in giving up the lies. I don’t know for how long his family will support his appeals/denials—this way he could at least have clergy to comfort him.

Sounds like Cathy Allen left the courthouse saying “this isn’t over”. So don’t think RA will get to do this - he is more reliant on her now than ever.

It’s interesting how the 12 jurors all unanimously agreed he was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in spite of various YouTubers and influencers and grifters saying over and over and over again how there just wasn’t any evidence RA was involved, how the state’s case was so weak, and that it was clear he was being railroaded.

I wonder if these same commentators will claim the jurors were all in on the Odinist conspiracy, too.
Thank you for saying this, m00c0w.

I would so love for him to tell his team to take a running jump, and stand up at sentencing and apologize to Abby and Libby's families for his heinous crimes, just like he was begging to be able to do.

The defense team should apologize to Abby and Libby's family for making things harder on them, and to all of their supporters for that Farce memo they peddled to them.

On WTHR's live feed, the reporter (edit: it's Bob Segal) who has been in the courtroom every day is discussing the phone call confessions, specifically the one to RA's mom and whether he was in his right mind when he made them. He says that RA came across very logical in the confessions. In the one to his mom, RA said "I did it." And when the mom says "no, you didn't." And RA says calmly and emphatically "Mom...I won't sit here and tell you I did it, if I didn't do it."

Reading the words in his conversation with his mom was the moment I officially moved off of the teeny-tiny bit of fence I was on. No twisting of context could change his words. “I did it”. He said it and he meant it.

Guilty.
BARD.

Hopefully they can learn to hush up now, respect the verdict, and let Abby & Libby finally rest in peace and their families find some peace. I think we can all use a break from that daily cacophony. moo

Citing the gag order, the ISP say they will have an official statement following sentencing.

WTHR reporters expressed surprise that the gag order is continuing. Their understanding is that families may be allowed to talk about their emotions (perhaps on social media) but are not allowed to share any information related to evidence in the case.

For example, KG has already reposted a quote about justice on social media.

I haven’t seen a clear answer on death penalty vs not death penalty, and it appears in Indiana that a jury basically decides after the conviction if any of the aggravating factors that would qualify for death penalty have been found beyond a reasonable doubt.

Since they just convicted him twice of a crime involving those aggravating factors, I’m curious how this will go.

In any case, that may be why the gag order is still in effect.

The right verdict imo.
He didn't need to put the families through this harrowing trial.
A Coward to the very end.
The three showers and clothes changes with a tablet to boot in his cell will seem like a holiday camp compared to where he is headed!
Hope he rots.

RIP Abby and Libby.

We knew these jurors asked very insightful questions, and it's apparent they understood "reasonable doubt". ;)

You did it, Libby!
Much love and peace to “our” girls, Libby and Abby, and their families.

Liberty's loved ones must be so proud of her. Both Abby and Liberty were incredibly brave and both of their families must be very proud of them. The case would have been much harder to solve if the recording she managed to take didn't exist and there was no evidence showing what their killer might look and sound like. It is heartbreaking to think about what they went through.

I hope the convicted double murderer is forced to listen to the victim impact statements from their families and he and everyone in the courtroom will hear what a repulsive, despicable convicted double murderer and coward who deceitfully hid in plain sight he is. He must have to listen to the immeasurable suffering he caused by robbing Abby and Liberty of their lives, the chance to go to college, the chance to have careers, the chance to get married and children of their own and make a lifetime of memories with their families and friends. I hope their families are spared listening to a statement from him with empty words expressing regret when he has shown no remorse or any concern for Abby and Liberty's loved ones. He had only shown concern for his own wife and mother.

I can’t imagine the emotions Abby and Liberty’s families must be feeling. This will be the first time they can properly grieve for them because their focus for the past seven years has been on finding their killer and then the trial.
