GUILTY Abby & Libby - The Delphi Murders - Richard Allen Arrested - #215

It’s interesting how the 12 jurors all unanimously agreed he was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in spite of various YouTubers and influencers and grifters saying over and over and over again how there just wasn’t any evidence RA was involved, how the state’s case was so weak, and that it was clear he was being railroaded.

I wonder if these same commentators will claim the jurors were all in on the Odinist conspiracy, too.
I commend the jurors for their commitment. Clearly, they took their civic duty seriously and were in no hurry to rush through evidence in order to get home and out of a hotel. They were absolutely committed.

I suspect they understood this case as circumstantial [as most cases are] and there’s no slam dunk factor, like DNA, murder weapon. Makes it easier for many?

However, there is the totality of the circumstances, which put the puzzle pieces all together in this case.

Additionally, perhaps others want or need that wow factor showing he did it before they believe in someone's guilt???
What helped me was to step back and look at the whole picture, and, the puzzle pieces fit.

Sure it will .. nothing to lose and it's pretty standard in any murder trial where there is a Guilty verdict.

Members need to know however that there must be legal grounds for appeal, (i.e. the judge made an error) so not just because they don't like the verdict.
Probably all of the actual evidence that was held out.

RA does not have to attend his sentencing. This guy didn’t.

He will have to be there. M00

The defendant must be present at:

(1) the initial appearance, the initial arraignment, and the plea;

(2) every trial stage, including jury impanelment and the return of the verdict; and

(3) sentencing.

RA called the tipline because he must have been feeling pretty smug. Killed his witnesses dead.

Taking a moment here to thank the witnesses who came forward and identified BG, including Abby and Libby. Trapped RA by timestamps.

He remains a coward for all time.

JMO
Except the teen girls and BB saw him, the local, helpful CVS guy. Lots of teen girls go to CVS to get makeup, hair and nail products, kids go for snacks...adults for prescriptions. He was afraid someone recognized him.

Susan Hendricks (author of Down the Hill) is on Court TV right now- apparently she was with Libby’s very good friend Lexi at Libby’s grave when they got the news that the verdict was in. Susan noted that Lexi has a 2 year old son- really puts into perspective how much life was stolen from Libby and Abby.

Reward $ for Tip?
I don’t think finding the tip sheet is the same as providing information, since the police already had that information. Ironically, RA himself provided the tip (!!!), but… it doesn’t count if you’re the tipster on yourself.

I sincerely doubt KS is gunning for, or will expect, a reward. Do we have any information at all that indicates she’s expecting to be paid out for locating existing tip info?
@getthefax Thx for your response. :)
What my post said:
"I wonder if someone else who provided info - info which may not have surfaced at trial - may try to elbow her out of it."

Thinking about the number of tips (10,000, 15,000, or more?), seems RA's name may have been emailed to the tip address, w a bit of info like this:
RA must be the killer because he look really suspicious.
Or RA must be the killer because when I was behind him in checkout line at the Alco store he looked at a magazine cover w pic of teenage girl.
IOW, not much of a tip to help a double homicide investigation.

I can see someone who provides a "tip" like this CLAIMING HIS INFO led to RA's arrest, i.e., trying to elbow out others (which may or may not include KS).

Also re earlier post.
IIRC multiple posts have said or suggested that KS should receive (all or some) reward $, and my first sentence basically repeated that unnecessarily.

As to KS expecting reward, I have no clue but don't see how my post suggested that or how it made any judgment about her or the reward.

The FBI left prior to RA ever being on LE radar. Up until then, he’d only given a statement to DD. ~6 months later the statement was found by KS, who noted the surname & street name were transposed. Once that was reported to her superiors, the focus quickly switched to RA.

JMO
More than transposed otherwise they would have been looking high and low for "Mr. Whiteman."

The tip was marked "clear" and put in a file box. No clerk or dispatcher has the authority to clear.

My take fwiw…

Richard Allen may have been involved or guilty, but imo they did not prove it beyond a reasonable doubt and I simply don’t believe it was a one man job.

Regardless prayers to all families. Sad for those little girls no matter what.
Agreed with the bolded bit, for sure.

This is my take on it ... I think he acted alone, and one of the girls refused to run away, if she could've.
Either Abby or Libby would not leave her friend even if the chance presented itself which we'll maybe never know.
Add to that the extreme terror that must have seemed paralyzing ?

If this was the scenario, it's heart breaking-- and makes me angry !!!!
Omo.

With tears I type this as many of you still have tears from the verdict. They were so young and having adventures as best friends do. There's no peace in this verdict except it closes a chapter in this case.Their families will always greive and have memories of the horror but hopefully they will hold on to the innocence of their precious daughters flying high and riding horses in the sky and still having fun on their adventures.

Seems line a one man job to me. Plenty of time.

Liberty's loved ones must be so proud of her. Both Abby and Liberty were incredibly brave and both of their families must be very proud of them. The case would have been much harder to solve if the recording she managed to take didn't exist and there was no evidence showing what their killer might look and sound like. It is heartbreaking to think about what they went through.

I hope the convicted double murderer is forced to listen to the victim impact statements from their families and he and everyone in the courtroom will hear what a repulsive, despicable convicted double murderer and coward who deceitfully hid in plain sight he is. He must have to listen to the immeasurable suffering he caused by robbing Abby and Liberty of their lives, the chance to go to college, the chance to have careers, the chance to get married and children of their own and make a lifetime of memories with their families and friends. I hope their families are spared listening to a statement from him with empty words expressing regret when he has shown no remorse or any concern for Abby and Liberty's loved ones. He had only shown concern for his own wife and mother.

I can’t imagine the emotions Abby and Liberty’s families must be feeling. This will be the first time they can properly grieve for them because their focus for the past seven years has been on finding their killer and then the trial.
IMO and unfortunately the “man” is deaf to the suffering of others or in fact to their joy.:(
