Too bad RA didn't confess seven years ago and save EVERYONE the pain and expenses. He was enjoying the hiding in plain sight game (giving the girls' families their photos for free at CVS for example) and proud of himself I think. Don’t want to even think about it. He disgusts me as a man & human being. Every single thing he did was purposeful. He wasn’t there just to appease his twisted deviant sexual perversions. He went there to hunt down at least one of those girls, have his way & fully intended to silence them forever. The van just delayed & relocated it all. Libby, somehow by the grace of God, put the first nail in his coffin. Ricky better strap that bible over his rear end - that’s about all the good it’s going to do him now.

Being a dad of two grown boys, I cannot fathom what the men in the immediate families are feeling, finally knowing the killer of their baby girls is convicted. The face behind it all. It would take all of my power, self control & restraint to not put hands on that….thing.

I hope the entirety of both families are finally able to find some sense of relief & peace & move forward, if possible, starting today. Should they choose to forgive, that’s completely up to them as they’ve more than earned that choice. Should they not, well, so be it - they’ve earned that as well.

While MOO I wavered back and forth over the last two years, I never became fully convinced of RA’s guilt - however I respect the process that found him Guilty. I assume that process will continue through another stage. The jurors had quite a challenge and based on what we heard, did an admirable job IMO.

I’m not particularly fond of the celebratory theme of some of the posts I’ve read here in the last 90 minutes. To me it’s kind of a sad day all around since closure seems elusive. Am not at all sure the evidence was slam-dunk convincing enough that the German/Williams families will experience true healing, but perhaps they will - I hope so. It’s easy to get sidetracked into the personalities of the other players, be it LE, the Judge, attorneys, etc…I understand some here IMO wanted foremost for BR/AB to lose which by some measurements they did, but I personally don’t see that cause for happiness..

Again the overriding theme should IMO be that this chapter of the process is complete, the results are accepted, and all should be commended for performing their roles hopefully to the best they could.

Seeing as how Abby and Libby didn’t get the chance to age 10 more years or 70 more years, I hope he ages a decade a day until he shrivels into dust.

And his defense lawyers also had to be enjoying it also.
They chose not to go for a plea deal. They chose to defect from RA’s guilt and try to turn this trial into being about prison conditions. They chose to lie to the judge, release the crime scene photos, and run, in my opinion, one of the most dishonest and disrespectful defenses I’ve ever seen by allowing dispicable social media types to basically join their defense team.
To this day, they are hoping, I’m sure to get guilty RA off on appeal.

Parts of social media have become such a cesspool. I hope none of the victims families saw or heard any of that.
Just checking in late to say I'm glad the jury reached this verdict. It had to be a very difficult trial for them to follow. Thanks to all of them and best wishes to the family and friends of the victims.

Of course people are happy and relived the man responsible has been found guilty and are sharing the joy of this day which many have been waiting 7 years for.

Of course it doesn’t bring Abby and Libby back but their courage and Libby recording RA that day means that justice has finally been served and that’s a day for celebration.

Justice has prevailed and I hope wherever Abby and Libby are they are smiling down at a job well done.

I wish the reward could go to the families. Probably can’t be so either.

Libby captured her own killer on film and audio.
Abby hid the phone under her body, I choose to believe.

Their brave and heroic actions led to this day of justice served.

The "celebratory theme" is warranted because a child killer has been taken off of the streets for good.

Also for two years this defense team and their supporters have had the loudest voice because of leaks associated with them and their gross misrepresentations of the truth.

All the while the State remained publicly silent because they were obeying the law.

Now the truth has been revealed and these girls' killer has been justly convicted by a jury of his peers.
