Well....he did tell the psychologist he had a sex addiction.

True, and that's interesting. Perhaps he thought that might gain him some sympathy or consideration for better treatment? Help with his "insanity" defense for his confessions? It's also a way of not taking responsibility for his actions.

No regrets, no feelings of guilt, etc. He had probably depersonalized them before he met them that day.

I sampled both LL & AB at the suggestion of a couple of folks who shall remain nameless & didn’t make it past 2 minutes for either. It was a moment of clarity for me & explained why so many things were seemingly twisted into what I felt was nonsense. Lots of distractions which did nothing but muddy the waters.

I found that news sources closer to the trial & within the state were often as well informed as possible, given the restrictions. There were a few hiccups but typically those were ironed out by 7-8pm EST & corrected if necessary.

100% agree. Really disappointed in the youtube content creators (yes, even the so-called "good" ones) and their fans who hang on every word. I never followed true crime on youtube until recently....and I'm done.

If you find yourself trying to decide whose recap to listen to, I can't recommend this one enough. One hour. It's honest, unvarnished, emotional, lays blame where blame is due, gives credit where credit is due, gives both a broad view and an inside one.

We can finally say, without reservation or apology, RA is behind bars where he belongs. Convicted.

Does this one talk about the evidence? I am a bit embarrassed that I didn't follow the trial but would like to catch up on the details the MSM won't cover. Thank you.

I can see where sexy time with a person who serves as basically a mother figure (JMO) in your life might not be nearly as titillating and appealing to a man who seems to rely on his wife for his decision making and self esteem. That dependence upon KA may have left him feeling both safe and yet resentful (ie. safe but small and impotent).

I will never know the answer to this but I really want to know more about his relationship with his mother. Prior to meeting and marrying KA, was she the one he relied upon for decision making and sense of self?

People with DPD believe they can’t take care of themselves. They may have trouble making everyday decisions, like what to wear or what food to eat, without others’ reassurance. They usually don’t realize that their thoughts and behaviors are problematic.
Dependent Personality Disorder

I personally think a resentful, small, angry RA is who Abby and Libby encountered that warm afternoon, not the mild mannered man the jury saw in the courtroom.
bbm Boom. He needed to feel big and powerful and imposing in order to get off which is why he sought out two children to attack. He wasn't planning on those two children being stronger and braver than he's ever been a second in his life. As proven by the endless whining we heard about how fragile and dependent he is, RA had absolutely not the foggiest idea what being a fighter looked like until Libby and Abby showed him by how valiantly they fought for their lives and to protect each other.

I am very curious to hear mitigating v aggravating factors that may be revealed during the sentencing phase. Still so little has been publicly shared about Rick. Who is this man? What made him snap?
Can't that wait?? I don't want to hold my breath any longer.

I'm still sitting here waiting for that apparenty huge list of "exonerating evidence" that wasn't allowed to be heard by the Jurors.

IMO.

It was and still is all about optics.
That YouTuber will move on and forget about KA in basically no time.
The bottom line is that the friendship and kinship relied on clicks and dollars.

Once that ship has truly sailed, KA is going to be really and truly alone.

I hope that for her future well being, she rebuilds family bridges and concentrates on her next chapter.

"It's not over" will end. She needs to be prepared.

Well said & thought out. BM will move on & should he continue bouncing from case to case, his flame will soon flicker as it will become obvious what his game is all about, even to the sheeple.

KA chose her path. She didn’t want to face reality. She had decisions to make a couple of years ago or more & those decisions come with certain consequences. I don’t wish for bad things to happen to people necessarily, but in all honesty I struggle with wishing her well. Best I can say right now, today is I hope she is happy at some point. Her lack of sympathy towards the victims families seemed just off putting to me. But I don’t know the whole story either. Her words coming out of the courthouse yesterday didn’t do much to earn sympathy from me. I’m just kind of muted towards her.

Murder Sheet actually just today published an episode called "The Evidence". It is the first in what will be a 3-part series they are doing now that the trial is over.

They were in the courtroom everyday so you can scroll back through their episodes to find the ones that interest you. They do a pretty good job titling the episodes by day & what was covered in court that day.

It wasn’t really their fault though— they had announced that verdict would be read at 3pm, then delivered it early… I’ll let this one pass…
only by a couple of minutes and yes, I can give them a pass as well. Even if they remained within five minutes from the courthouse as directed by JG, navigating the crowds and accompanying traffic to get back into the courthouse could have presented some challenges that slowed them by that few minutes.

I have struggled with my opinion of KA.

I agree with everything you have said.

I believe that the attorneys and YouTubers offered her so much support, based on the public opinion and outcry for her husbands living conditions, that she may have honestly believed that there was no way he would be convicted. Hence, her statement of addressing the public after the verdict. Which, by the way, never happened

RA's attorneys honestly believed that they had this in the bag. But, as the saying goes, pride comes before the fall. This team became legends in their own minds.

I believe that they kept her focused on YouTube and other social media that pumped her up and made her feel important.

This is going to be the hardest and biggest life lesson that she will ever have.

If she finds the strength to look at this crime through the lens of the victims family, there is a possibility that she can find some peace and a way to restart her life.

The longer she waits, the more she deceives herself and the harder it becomes for her to reclaim life.

This is a heavy load for anyone to carry.

I don't really feel sympathy for KA, perhaps more of a curiosity for what road she will choose.

can RA be sentenced to death?

No, that is not an option at the DA did not elect to seek the death penalty earlier.

Delphi Murder Suspect Richard Allen Found Guilty of Killing Teens — What to Know | Oxygen Official Site

Nov 11, 2024

Prosecutors declined to seek the death penalty, but Allen now faces up to 130 years behind bars, according to NBC South Bend, Indiana affiliate WNDU-TV. According to WISH-TV, sentencing has been scheduled for Friday, December 20, 2024.

There must be something I'm missing then. Because at 1:24pm Indiana time Bob Segall posted this tweet. And he says he thinks a verdict was reached because attys and family were arriving.
Yet it sounds like RA's family was late per Judge. Idk I get very confused sometimes.

Ah, but Judge Gull had a master plan.

Didn't care about the gallery, she needed counsel and family to remain on standby.

RA was returned to jail while media on the lawn were watching for his arrival.

And to pull that off, Judge Gull needed the verdict read, RA removed (if found guilty) safely -- and the only way to do that, quietly.

It was IMO supremely disrespectful of the Defense & Co to hold up the process, one they'd been ordered to uphold.

Judge Gull IMO took her oath seriously, ensuring a fair trial and protecting RA rights, including and especially his safety.

I think all along she planned, in the event of a guilty verdict, to wisk RA out of the area post haste.

See I said I was missing something.
