GUILTY Abby & Libby - The Delphi Murders - Richard Allen Arrested - #216

I'm pretty sure he didn't. And it's the one of things that's puzzling me the most.
Why in his 2022 interview did he not say he was wearing, I don't know, a red Jacket., grey joggers and a pair of blue trainers??..and no hat?

Had he forgotten if he'd told Dullin back in the first meeting what he said he was wearing??
Should think his head was pretty muddled back in 2017
It all falls back to Libby's video. She got him good and proper.

They scooby doo'd him right up.
" I would've got away with it if it wasn't for those darn kids!!!"

I think RA could have mentioned in his self reported tip #74, two days before he spoke to DD, what he was wearing. Two different Carroll County articles claim this.

Also, does DD's tip narrative actually have more to it than what was contained in RA's PCA? DD testified that RA told him a slightly earlier time at first and then settled on 1:30 to 3:30 and that earlier time is not mentioned in that tip narrative.

does this answer your question? -

"She told the jury that when investigators were moving their headquarters she came across some handwritten tips, one of them said a “Richard Allen Whiteman” had “self-reported being on the trails and girls had seem him at the same time.”

That tip was dated Feb. 16, 2017.

Shank said she pulled the written tip about Allen being interviewed in 2017 and changed the file name to “Richard Allen.” She told the jury she made this discovery on Sept. 21, 2022."

What a hero Shank is in this case.
She deserves some sort of recognition for her astute contribution to this case.

Details that only the killer would know> How can that be?

  • According to the Innocence Project, 25% of wrongful convictions overturned by DNA evidence involve a false confession and many of those false confessions actually contained details that match the crime-details that were not made to the public.
There is no DNA.
No red herring of somebody else.

But SOMEBODY killed Libby and ABBY.
a COURT OF LAW has now convicted Richard Allen with an over whelming volume of evidence.

I hope he appeals after appeal after appeal, because until that is all exhausted this nonsense will continue for the families.

I wonder what's many of 23%?
I would likento see the cases.

At 1:09 MS discusses the cost of trial transcripts, their exorbitant cost, and the possibility of the transcript being made available to the public free of charge if an appeal is lodged.

Paul Bernardo has taken some hits.

Not a child killer but Robert Picton got his comeuppance quite recently and is now dead as a result of prison justice.
With all the child killers we see on here, to me that doesn’t justify the constant refrain of how child murderers are the lowest on the totem pole and are at high risk in prison.

I think they’re segregated and protected.

If it did, he didn't testify to it in court.

It is now pretty much clear to me the Allen's Defense had absolutely nothing in the way of a solid alibi or explanation of why it couldn't be him. Their sole aim in this case was to convince only one of the jurors that there was doubt.
By using the passage of time that this has taken leading to wild and unsubstantiated claims online, their hope was that one of the jurors would have read and believed the things that have been written, no matter how far fetched. Luckily they didn't.
But this case highlights a serious issue for judiciaries around the US and wider reaching. The world wide web investigations department is putting a serious spanner in police working to solve crimes. And the longer it takes to find perps the bigger these things grow.
Remember, it only takes one in the Jury to have read and believed this stuff.
A scary thought!
But luckily it didn't happen here. And I'm willing to bet that there will be no appeal from Allen and his team. The world wide web investigations team have long since forgotten him and will be moving on to bigger and better case work!

A snip from your post:
And I'm willing to bet that there will be no appeal from Allen and his team.

If I was a betting person, I'd love to take you up on your bet. Attorneys Rozzi and Baldwin have been laying the foundation for appeal almost since day one. There is still a lot of doubt regarding his guilt. MOO

Some people can not accept the truth unfortunately.

He will never see another day of freedom as he has been convicted and found guilty of killing Abby and Libby. Long may he rot!!

The most optimistic doubt of course sits with his lawyers $$$$$$$

I hope your right.
Let's get the appeals over and done with.

My optimism lays at he will quickly chew threw appeal $$$$$$ options.
That dog won't hunt IMO.

I think the defence banked all their coin on the absurd odinas nonsense. ( I don't even know how its spelt its that relevant to me )
They forgot a pretty important component is evidence to support their theory.
They had not a thing to back it up.Zero nadda nothing.
Never stood a chance with seeing light of day, I suspect the defence knew this, but leaking the idea to the media they hoped would influence just enough gullables to taint the jury pool.
It only takes one.
Thanks be to god ...they rolled the dice......wrong.

Yes that seemed to be how they wanted to run their ship.

Throw a lot of stuff at the wall in the hopes one idea stuck. Unfortunately all of it was noise and not a single bit of evidence backing up their wild claims.

They can appeal all they want it as they have no supportive evidence to back up their wild conspiracies.

Since Allen brought up the fact that he watched the show "Dateline" while being questioned in October 2022 I began to research episodes that were being shown around the time of the crime. Just ten days before the crime on February 3, 2017 "Dateline" aired, "A Texas Twist" (Season 25 Episode 18).

The gist of the show is two teen girls go to a park by the beach to hang out. When they get there they observe a creepy man. They take a picture or do something and the next thing they know he is right there. The man takes the girls' down a little bit lower on the beach. He rapes one girl and then makes her duct tape the other girl and herself. They both are then shot in the head. Both were found the next day, naked, bloody, and bound with duct tape. One girl was dead but the other girl was miraculously still alive.

Since Allen watched "Dateline" this episode may have put the thought of doing something like this into his mind, ten days before this crime.

An appeal can only be on the trial's procedure, the jurors had the final say on the facts. They found him guilty on the facts.

The "get one juror to buy a conspiracy" strategy didn't work.

Yes the Jury didn’t fall for the horse and pony show that the defense were selling. The arrogance that they thought their lies and conspiracies would work is laughable when you look at the facts of the case.

Their client on the bridge didn’t see anybody else out there and remarkably dressed like the killer moments before the girls crossed the bridge.

But Odins did it

Would make sense why he said he waited around to make sure they were both dead before he left the scene. He didn't want to repeat what he would have thought of as the "mistake" made by the perp in the episode.

Dateline is all true crimes, isn't it? Did you notice where that one took place? I agree it's eerily similar.

I thought the same i.e. RA waiting to make sure both were dead.

Yes, Dateline is all true crime. This happened on June 22, 2012 in Violet Andrews Park in Portland, Texas.

I emailed Nick M. about this just to let him know about this episode and how it aired ten days before RA committed these crimes.
