Excuse me but does anyone know please if Abby said to Libby, “Don’t leave me!” And if so, how do we know this and what was the context? (Sorry to be behind and needing help catching up on this incredibly horrible tragic evil case.) God bless the poor brave little girls.

Here ya go.

"The jury was shown a video of "Bridge Guy" for a third time. This time the video that was shown had been enhanced to stabilize the man and to listen to what was being said. "Guys, down the hill." Liggett interpreted the video by saying he believes you could hear the voices of both girls in the video. He thinks Abby said "Don't leave me up here," and Libby said something about a gun before "down the hill" was said by a man."

Both Abigail and Liberty are Hero's.

Libby took the video with her phone that captured their killer Richard Allen, they stuck together until the very end, and Abby protected that phone with her body.

We know that Libby has always been declared a hero and rightly so but whoever first stated that Abby protected that phone, bravo to you. What a beautiful sentiment that made me cry.
thank you sincerely for correcting me; yes, they both are heroes!

Listen to the guy yelling at 35.25
"We are all Richard Allen, all of us!"

Yeah um I'm changing my mind about the jury speaking out. Of course I would love to hear from them, but I think it's in their best interest to stay hidden.
"We are all Richard Allen." No we're not, and the day he's finally convicted probably isn't the time to wax poetic. These people need to understand they speak for themselves only. And at this point if these people really feel like they're Richard Allen, they also need to report themselves, and no worries, it won't take five years this time.

No legitimate defense of constitutional rights can be mounted at the expense of two little girls' right to come home alive from a walk in the woods. It would be one thing if he genuinely were innocent. He's clearly not. How someone would still want to cling to this desperate belief at this point that Richard Allen is some kind of misunderstood anti-hero is bizarre to me, moo.

It’s in the section above the Permits and Licenses heading, scroll past the pic of RA.

McLeland entered evidence of an enhanced video recorded by Libby from the end of the High Bridge. The enhancement “stabilizes” the video and allows additional audio to be heard.

“I listened to that video 100 times,” Liggett said, saying listening to it with headphones is the best method as it cuts out ambient noise.

As the enhanced video is played, Abby says, “Is he right here?” followed by “Don’t leave me up here.” Libby then says, “See, this is the path.”

Liggett said Libby then whispered, “That be a gun.” She then says, “There’s no path here. We have to go down here.”

A man can then be heard saying, “Guys.” Libby says, “Hi,” and then the man says, “Down the hill.”

Thank you for posting this @MassGuy I have been wondering what the reaction was to the verdict in the court room. I’m glad Abby and Liberty's families have each other for support.

I can not imagine what a day of mixed emotions it must of been for them all.

To finally have Justice but it won’t bring back the girls and I guess quite daunting as well as it’s a new chapter after 7 years of fighting. I guess this is why they all need time to process before making statements as it must just be a rollercoasters of emotions. To see the town be so supportive must be a godsend.

A few thoughts:
—RA is a convicted murderer. He’s not presumed innocent. He is guilty.
—The Odinist theory was rightfully ruled out of the trial because even the defense’s top witness couldn’t prove those people were in Delphi….because they had alibis.
—The defense, for some reason, thought it was a good idea to bet the defense’s farm on a theory outlined in a document, FM1, that proved to be about 70% false, and 10% halftruths, and that included the footnotes. Why in the world would they do that? I would really like an answer to that if anyone can do it. Why build your case knowing it was all cr#p.
—there has been no evidence left out of this trial that could have taken RA off that bridge. None.
—and…it is over. The appeals are going nowhere.
My opinion.

RA killed Libby and Abby.
And that is not my opinion. That is a fact.

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed>

I am not defending RA AT ALL but it appears from testimony that he was a broken man before the murders and I can have empathy for that at least. But he chose to take his brokenness out on two innocent girls. That I have no empathy for.

I have seen people here gleefully contemplating his fate at the hands of other inmates and quite frankly, I think wishing violence on anyone is unacceptable. JMO

Nope. It was blazing across a broken down bridge with multiple weapons to rpe 2 little girls in the daylight. That's bold. Not fragile.

Also. The video of him in the pool hall dancing like a demon. The video of the anger in his face after being surprised in the car by Kathy. The video on the ski lift thing. The video of him grabbing the cat outside his house.. him calling the police aholes... none of it was fragile. Fragile is an act!!!!
Bbm.
Thanks for referencing both of those. ^^^

It's where his voice matches what was originally released from the bridge audio.
Omo.

I haven't seen those videos. Do you have links? Thanks.

I'm on the West Coast and I have been here long enough to know that most WSers are asleep by now, but I am anxiously awaiting the exculpatory evidence that the jury didn't get to hear because JG deemed it inadmissible.

Facts only, of course.
Hope you don’t mind waiting. ;)
