I don't know if its common or not, but an attorney putting their arm around the shoulder of the client during sentencing (for comfort) is not at all the same thing as this comment: "utterly disgusting Baldwin sitting there cuddling and coddling RA in court like a mother and her small child. Unbelievable, sickening and damn maddening."Do you think it’s common for a male defence attorney to put their arm around a male adult client during the course of double murder judicial procedures? If so, for what reason?
IMO that portrays a behaviour intended to calm or console, exactly like that of a mother and small child. Especially so considering what we know of RA’s prior mental issues including abnormal and unpredictable…tendencies.
