GUILTY Abby & Libby - The Delphi Murders - Richard Allen Arrested - #219

Richard Allen revised his time he was on the trail durinf questioning to a time where the same girls were making a full loop. He was not there earlier.

They saw him, he saw them.

The other witness that saw RA on MHB platform 1 as she walked the whole loop from parking at Mears walikkng to MHB, MHB to FB, FB and back to Mears. No RA.

When she turned around at MHB to walk back toward FB she passed the girls on their way to MHB right where the trail bends slightly and opens a view to the bridge (midway between Mears and MHB.)
RA would have seen A&L as he left the platform, as he said to "sit on a bench."
The witness walked to FB turned and walked back to Mears. R A was not on the trail.
I know it is unlikely that Richard Allen was not the person the three girls saw due to his position on the trail and the timing. If he was there earlier and left at 1:30pm, then who was it that the three girls said they saw on the trail?

Yes, I agree that if the person who BB saw on platform 1 was RA then RA should have seen Abby and Libby as they were walking towards the Monon High Bridge that day.

It would have been nice to be able to substantiate his whereabouts with his phone's location. If his phone was never at the Monon High Bridge, it is sort of surprising he did not try to use it an alibi that he was not there either(even if he was). Why would he get rid of the phone from 2017 if it helps him establish that he might not have been there? Why not just leave the phone at home instead of giving DD the conservation officer, a burner phone's information?

I think the case is so confusing due to Richard Allen not acting like you would expect a normal criminal to act if they had decided to plan out a crime at a secluded bridge location. Each case and each person are different.

BB did 3 loops. Left once for a bathroom break.

She saw RA on the platform and then saw Abby and Libby on her way back to her car, during her third loop.

She did not see RA on her first two loops.

He wasn't there.

The juveniles saw him as they were leaving, not as they were arriving.

He wasn't there.

No witnesses saw him after 2:14 (Libby's phone) until SC saw him at about 4... and no witnesses saw Abby and Libby after 2:14....

Because he was there.

Would anyone like to take a spin at decoding the word after "4 wheelers"? Here's a screen cap from the document.

My best guess? A word with a tall letter then ing, followed immediately by 'so'. The first letter looks like an a.

It's definitely not 'standing', his s is very different and there's no tall letter for the t. Not 'surrounding' either. The tall letter may be a d, it could be 'crowding'.

I'll keep thinking on it. Reading bad handwriting is kind of my thing. This isn't as bad as my mother's, and I've been deciphering hers my whole life.

If there is one aspect of Richard Allen's guilt I agree with, it is that the only way he is innocent is if someone came up from the southeast side of the bridge. In my opinion, that is the only way.

It would have been such an easy case to solve if police had followed up on the tip Richard Allen provided a few days after the murders. I still cannot figure out how if so many people are looking for bridge guy how he got back to his car at the old CPS building without going past the Hoosier Harvest store surveillance camera. This camera looks like it is in a dome so how would Richard Allen know exactly which way it was facing if it is on the side of the building? Yet the eyewitness SC clearly stated bridge guy was walking on the north side of 300 N around 3:56pm.

Maybe the exhibits will finally be released to the public, and the evidence used to convict Richard Allen will start to make a lot more sense.

He walked around the Mears farm & HHS to the north through the fields & came out around the end of the railroad tracks. Not hard to figure out. Discussed this a long time ago. One of the few routes to avoid the Mears entrance & the HHS security camera.

I love puzzles and trying to decipher handwriting as my husband has awful handwriting which I’ve become used to and pretty good at decoding after 30 years lol.

Anyhoo, after looking at/studying the above for a bit and considering context, I think there are 2 words and one abbreviated/shortened word that appears after 4 wheelers bbm:
around ind (Indiana) go

Moved oldest one to area
not going to be found
place where 4 wheelers around ind go

Kind of makes sense to me given context, I def could be wrong!

IMHOO

Theory: RA wasn't avoiding the HH camera. IMO he probably wasn't even aware of it.

SC saw him. THAT'S why he left the roadway.

He was trying to avoid traffic.

Note that I am not sure about "sometimes" as it appeared that his "s" is usually written like a printed s and not a cursive one. The following 3 letters that I read as "ome" look very similar to the "ome" in "come" a few lines up from this word. But they could be other letters that the writer runs together when writing cursive.

The first letter most looks like an "a" to me, so I had also considered that the illegible word might be "avoiding" (ETA: which might better fit in the context).
Avoiding is an AMAZING fit for that word! I've been puzzling over this all day, and I think you've cracked it!

After being seen walking on the road, he walked behind the Hoosier Harvestore building.

Thanks @Vern!

Wow, NM really singled out AB, deservedly so IMO.
Yes! Bullet points 19-23 on Page 3 of the States Response in MTCE is just golden and shows how desperate Baldwin really is.

Baldwin stop with your over-reaching nonsense and just fade back into obscurity. We'd never heard of you before this case and with your loss and shoddy antics, I doubt we'll hear much about you moving forward. Your golden goose to fame (RA) is cooked.
