Yeah this is really tough, when you take a man suffering psychosis, eating feces and confession to cheating on his wife with a cigarette and dump 1000 pages of discovery of a brutal double homicide on him it’s going to be very very hard to be able to sort truth and fiction out of him.

Have we seen any evidence that he ever actually ate any poop? I've seen testimony that he smeared it on the walls. But none about him actually eating any. I think that might be hyperbole by the D, IMO.

As in, he was eating the kind they were shoveling to him for his defense? I kid, I kid ;)

No, apparently he smeared it on his face though. This could also be a result of alcohol withdrawal, a common expression but rhymes with it-faced drunk.

Re: ‘Odinism’ and the arrangement of branches. Here’s the thing that I find most ridiculous about this. February in Indiana means tree branches have no leaves. I’m sure he may have looked around for better camouflage to cover up his evil perversions, but he was spooked by the van and was already rushed. And in winter, deciduous trees and their branches are bare in the Midwest. There will never be anything better to work with.
From witnesses who are in court there was a huge amount of leaves and stuff on floor where girls found he could have used that,

IMO From the questions, the jury seems logical. I almost want the odinism to be admitted because I think this jury would have difficult to contain the laughter. On another hand, it is possible that there is 1 or 2 jurors into conspiracies theories, so..

I don't understand his defense. In my opinion, seems the best defense here is to attack the errors in the investigation...
Yes. The Odinism theory is completely looney tunes, and the evidence as we know it does not support the theory when put under any sort of real scrutiny.

For instance, we’re supposed to believe that RA’s confessions to anyone that would listen are the result of mental instability and not to be believed, but the alleged uncorroborated confessions of a potentially mentally handicapped individual are magically extraordinary proof of his involvement.

I particularly like that they have to move the murders like 12 hours, introduce a kidnapping theory that has zero support, let the jury believe that 2+ people would be able to do this without being seen or leaving any traces, that BG either didn’t kidnap the girls or was one of these two people that don’t fit the descriptions…

I think this is a huge mistake being made by the defense, and it will only assist the prosecution. I can’t believe they’re still on this.

Agree. there were not even any leaves on the ground in the crime scene quardoned off area that I saw. Just like a 4" light tan grass. IF there had been leaves, the BG would have put leaves over them.

The entire post that follows is my thoughts on the matter.... for now :)

The DT's desire to introduce the Odinist thing is evidence they have little else.

The idea that the DT doesn't have to prove RA's innocence is true in theory, sure, it's the Prosecution that has to prove his guilt, however, to my untrained eye, it appears the DT is desperate to...well...prove RA's innocence.

RA likely went to that trail numerous times, armed with weaponry and intent, hoping for opportunity. On the day of the murders, he knew it was a day off school, and the weather was nice. He went, and waited, you know, hanging around the trail, and bridge. He knew if a woman, a girl, would come along, and head across that bridge, he'd be set.

Abby and Libby did just that....they crossed that bridge. The rest of the story is now being told, in testimony. There will likely be more.

Truth as this old country boy sees it, RA went there with intent to sexually assault a female, intent to rape, his plan was interrupted, his rage boiled, his fear peaked, and he murdered two innocent girls on a warm late winter day.
Good theory. I actually think, though, that he was targeting young girls. He mentioned his past history of that in his confessions. When talking to a therapist, he was probably slightly embarrassed at having targeted young girls so said it was a mess stake, that he misjudged their age. He's also not going to admit being a child molester in prison, where other inmates attack his type of offender.

Perhaps he was drunk the day of the attack. It might explain his committing such a terrible offense in a high risk situation, with two victims Alcohol lowered his inhibitions somewhat, but he had probably been fantasizing about this attack for years. He was unbelievably lucky to almost get away with it.

I still think he was playing crazy in his later confessions as a way to make it seem he was faking his first confessions.

After lunch, Wala continued to be pressed by Rozzi and admitted to traveling to the Monon High Bridge to visit the area of the crime. She told the defense attorney that she followed true crime in general, not just the Delphi case.

During conversations with Allen, she allegedly told Allen at points to “maintain hope” by stressing that he had “supporters out there.”

Wala spoke further on Allen’s mental decline while in prison, specifically in April 2023. She noted “fatalistic delusions,” “hopelessness,” “insomnia” and “suicidal ideations.”

“Did you discover he had a grave disability?” Wala was asked.

“Yes,” she responded.

This led to Allen’s first dose of involuntary medication on April 13, 2023. On May 11, he received his second injection of Haloperidol, a drug used for mental disorders. Wala stated how Allen continued to show signs of self-harm, such as bruising from banging his head, which led to another involuntary injection on June 5.

Wala agreed when asked if Allen met the criteria for serious mental illness. She also agreed that it was reasonable to believe that being kept in solitary negatively affected his mental health.

In a May 2024 statement, Wala stated she began questioning whether or not she believed Allen was faking his symptoms.

Wala stepped down from the witness stand at 3:10 p.m.

What exactly was RA building with those branches? Looks like gridwork. Was he hoping to layer up that depression with forest debris? Perhaps that's what he was doing at 3:30 when he was interrupted and what pushed him out onto the roadway.

I don't think RA wants to say what happened in the first location, but he must have felt pretty bad about it already because IMO he was already trying to cover it by letting/forcing Abby to redress. Of course, he knew IMO he was leaving no survivors.

IMO he's still skirting what happened between DTH and the creek.

Dr Walla testified that she was following the case before his arrest and never told DOC of her interest in case,
That's not correct.

During cross-examination by defense attorney Bradley Rozzi, Wala acknowledged that she followed Allen's case with interest during her personal time even as she was treating him, a fact she mentioned to her supervisors.

Yes, because remember the regret is for himself
ugh, DUH
thank you!! you're right (& you're right that this was a reminder I needed -- thank you)

There does seem to be an element of grandiosity.
him talking to the police without an attorney to the extent he did (and then thinking at first he'd find an attorney on his own to defend his innocence to his liking at a rate favorable to him...) very much so struck me as grandiosity (or just average white male privilege if I'm feeling generous)

maybe the doubleness of the double murder speaks to grandiosity, as well, like that was his deciding factor (as opposed to other hypotheses that he really only had a single target) -- I don't want to try wording this any better, quite frankly, but wanted to pose the concept regardless

The problem i have with the Odinism stuff is that it is complicated to the point of not sounding reasonable.

I have to wonder why the defense keeps going for this when as everyone says, it's not their job to prove RA didnt do it, just create reasonable doubt in the jury's mind about the prosecution's theory.

Why are they going for what seems to be the most convoluted scenario possible. Theyre definitely not following the K.I.S.S formula.

-Dr. Wala testified that he mentioned starting a nuclear war
-He also tried to flush his bible down the toilet at one point
-However, Dr. Wala said he was showing signs of improvement by late April
-During cross examination, defense attorney Brad Rozzi asked right out of the gate why she no longer works at the DOC

-She stopped working there after testifying during a July hearing in this case
