Putting it in the public blurs nothing, he received the discovery whenever he received it and that will be date stamped and he made these confessions whenever he did and that will be testified to.

JMO

RA didn't receive all of the discovery at once and the State will have proof of what he actually did or did not have access to in the discovery at that time.

Ra says he's sorry, he will burn in hell, all appropriate thoughts to follow his admitting many times he did indeed kill Abby and Libby.
are you saying you believe these thoughts to be sincere? I don't think someone sociopathic enough to commit this crime would have the capacity to experience appropriate remorse without extreme rehabilitation

otherwise, I would think someone so sociopathic would be as self-serving as possible if/when feigning remorse -- and whatever avenue that person perceives as most self-serving would very likely strike the average reasonable person as inappropriate (doing a big TV interview to feign regret [and get maximum attention!!] is an example that comes to mind)

Re: witnesses not being able to estimate RA's height....

I am very bad at guesstimating distances or measurements. When witnesses saw him, the only real comparison would have been with trees alongside the path which would make it even harder, imo. It's not like he was standing beside something with a distinct height so witnesses could say if he was taller or shorter than it (like a 6' high fence, for example). Plus, I think attitude and projection can skew perception, so if he was seen as grumpy or scary or menacing, that might make a witness think he's taller. All MOO.

The defense will clearly address that if they can. She's still being crossed, so if they have the ability to say that these details came from discovery we should know soon. If they don't then that's an answer too.

Regardless of that, the details about his morning would not be in there, which adds credibility to the rest of it.

Yes, that is what I said.

maybe it’s because I’m just waking up and having my first coffee but I’m not sure what you mean by the first part “the details about his morning would not be in there”

Yeah but they add up if there are multiple confessions coming from different people at different times. So far there doesn't seem to be a single smoking gun detail only the killer would know. MOO

What a mess on Walla’s responses to Rozzi’s questions. Listening to podcasts and having a strong interest in the case…unfortunately how does someone know she didn’t insert any theories into his mind or overstep in what she may have been saying to RA? Plus being investigated for such right now and let go from her job?
Sadly that affects my trust in her testimony.

JMO

Rozzi tells the jury that Wala used the IDOC database to find information about the case and that the IDOC is investigating her for that. He says this is why she is not at the IDOC right now. He tells the jury Wala was contributing and recommending on social media where to get information earlier than 2024.

Rozzi tells the jury that Wala was commuting two hours every day to Westville for work and listened to Delphi podcasts on the way there. At some point, Rozzi said she shut all her social media accounts down.

Wala tells the jury that she told IDOC of her interest in the case whenever they found out Allen was coming to Westville, Rozzi says she did not. He tells the jury that Wala was sharing her thoughts with Allen while he was in custody.

Thank you

In an April 5, 2023 filing the defense team stated that as of April 3 he had not received the discovery that the intern took to the prison on March 24, 2023.

I said this on Saturday, which is why Walla’s testimony was so huge for me. At the time we didn’t know about him saying he was an alcoholic, or that he drank before he arrived at the bridge that day.

I’m not saying he’s definitely an alcoholic, I mean he has no DUI’s or anything (which could be a decent sign). But someone who has to go to the hospital to be evaluated at that age, may very well drink too much.

I just strongly think the killer needed something in his system to do something this so completely stupid and risky.

I’d love to know his drinking habits.

Not OP but maybe they mean how detailed his confession was to Wala about what he did that particular morning, decided not to eat lunch with his parents had beer instead etc.

I believe April 4th is when he received the 1000 page dump of discovery, this also lines up with this being filed on march 3rd the state would call the prison and tell them to make sure he got that to get things from this motion covered. I also am 99% sure it’s been documented that’s when it was received

Did they show him the crime scene photos during interrogation?

Cross-examination of Dr. Wala by the defense is next once court resumes after lunch.

No they didn’t. He wouldn’t have received the photos until he received his discovery.

The big question from this morning is what day his received his discovery and what day he made these confessions.

Obviously if he made these detailed confessions before receiving discovery, that will be huge and I don’t see a jury not convicting him.

On the other hand if he had just recently received this discovery then started confession about the manner of death and the other readily available information in it it will hold far less weight with a jury.
