Even though they objected, the jury will have heard her answers correct?

I also saw that apparently she didn't look at him in the court room. I'm sure that could be interpreted so many different ways. I imagine you could cut the tension with a knife! I feel for the jury, whatever decision they make is probably not going to feel like a victory and will be scrutinised from all angles!
I might not have made eye contact with him either - would not want to crack on the stand and have the media interpret THAT any particular way either. They're all under a massive microscope, damned no matter what they do / say or don't imo.

Why would she risk her reputation and career by accessing DOC files that she was not authorized to access?

Also, why would she contradict herself in her own testimony, at times claiming RA was faking his mental illness and at other TIMES agreeing that he suffered from a psychotic disorder?

I think she came across as though she had an agenda. She is interested in helping the State convict Richard Allen. JMO
Are you suggesting she perjured herself?

4:04 P.M.

At 1:34 p.m. Judge Gull has entered court room and court is back in session without the jury. She says that the report from Wescott fits into “totem pole hearsay” and explains that unless the state can cite specific hearsay, she will admit it.

The jury is back in the court room at 1:37 p.m. Defense attorney Jennifer Auger calls Jamie Jones, Richard Allen’s half-sister. She tells the jury that Allen is 5 years older than her and that they lived together all through childhood. She says Allen got married right after getting back from being in the military.

Jones tells the jury that Allen “did not ever molest her or touch her inappropriately.” Auger asks her, “do you love your brother?” Jones responds “yes.” Auger asks, “would you lie for him?” Jones says no. Auger concludes her direct examination.

1:45 p.m. - The defense's 14th witness is Brittney Zapanta, Allen's daughter.
Defense attorney Jennifer Auger asked "Did your father ever molest you?"
Zapanta said no.
Auger asked "Do you love your father?"
Zapanta said no.

Auger asked "Would you lie for him?"
Zapanta said no.
She said no? Doesn’t love him?

This must be a typo in the article surely?

She has shown no support for him why would it be a typo?

Just imagine being brought up in such a toxic environment.

At 1:43 The defense called Brittany Zapanta, Richard Allen’s daughter. Allen is reportedly nodding his head as she takes the stand. Zapanta tells the jury she moved out in 2015 for a job. She says she works in urgent care. She attended Ball State and then went to Indianapolis, she says.

Auger asks, “did your father molest you?” Zapanta says “no.” Auger asks “would you lie for him?” Zapanta says “no.” The defense finishes direct examination of her.

Absolutely! She did what she had to do, smiling or acknowledging him is a double edged sword.

Auger asked "Do you love your father?"
Zapanta said no.

Well that’s telling

Imo
holy moley! which coverage did this come from because if that happened it is big to me. TIA

ETA nevermind, found it. I would love more context for this portion:

Luttrell asked Zapanta if she had visited the Monon High Bridge with her father. She said yes.
Luttrell asked if Zapanta was scared. She said yes.
Richard Allen's sister and daughter say he never molested them, despite confession | Day 15 of Delphi murders trial

scared of what? being on the bridge the times she went? Scared of her father? Scared of being on the stand?

Exactly my own personal experience with household member and their psychosis. I am thankful every day for the meds.
That is why I am skeptical of today's expert witness, She is claiming that NOTHING RA said during that 3 or 4 month period is reliable. She is saying he is totally unreliable and everything he says should be disregarded.

I strongly disagree because of my 60 years of experience with a schizophrenic family member. He was not delusional and erratic 24/7. He would have 'episodes' which are clearly recognisable. But even if he had an episode one morning---if we calmed him down, made sure he took his next round of meds, and got him to eat and sleep, he could wake up and be cognisant, coherent and engaged.

Just because he spoke fearfully about the CIA wanting to kidnap him while we were eating breakfast, doesn't mean that he couldn't regroup, get himself more focused, and be able to have a calm, measured conversation by dinnertime.

I don't see any reason why the details he reportedly gave to Dr Wala were not reliable. Even if he allegedly had some frantic or disorganised phone conversations earlier that does not mean he can't regroup or recover and be more coherent later in the day. I've seen it happen that way for years.
