Right. So either he went straight home and didn’t drop off a trailer on the way - in which case he would be driving his Subaru and not the van. That completely undermines the state’s theory of RA being interrupted by Webbers van.

OR

He did drop a trailer off with his van and didn’t drive straight home. This would have added time to his drive home and would screw up the timeline.

He seems to confirm that he told police in 2017 that he dropped off a trailer on the way home, but today he claimed he drive straight home from work.
That’s a false dichotomy. Baldwin literally told the man he said he dropped the trailer off earlier in the day.

Weber: "I said I dropped off a trailer."
Baldwin: "That was earlier in the day[…]”

The juror is paying attention and has confirmed SH arrived at the bridge (although she didn’t walk across it) after LE believes the girls were taken DTH and murdered.

At 1:56 p.m. the defense called Shelby Hicks. Hicks says she is a realtor and was 23 years old in 2017. She tells the jury on Feb. 13, 2017, she took her car in for repair and went for a hike with her boyfriend. She says they got to the trails around 2:30 p.m. and parked in connector lot. Defense attorney Andrew Baldwin is trying to get her to say Mears Entrance.

Baldwin asks her if there was anyone parked there other than her, she says there were other cars. Hicks says they walked toward the highway for five minutes and then went toward the high bridge. She tells the jury it takes 10-15 minutes to get to the bridge, she said they saw an “older gentleman,” two girls from school and “a few other kids.”

<snip>

The jury asks questions:

  1. Was the man with the camera old? Hicks says yes.
  2. Did you arrive at the bridge at 2:55? Hicks says “could have been.”

As an innocent person being thrown to the wolves by this underhanded Defense, his whole life being wrecked by havoc and innuendo, I can see how BW would be upset. I probably would be doing worse than that with them coming at me IRL.

I'm thinking the defense team is egging him on to get upset on the stand to plant the idea with the jury that he's capable of attacking girls on the bridge.

If that is the tactic, I doubt it worked.

Yeah, testifying with passion can be a good thing, if required.

Where is Nick is this exchange? I hope objecting when Baldwin is badgering BW. If Baldwin has some proof otherwise, produce it. No wonder BW is getting upset.

And Weber yelled “No, that’s not correct”

Baldwin asks Mullin if they had ever heard of a white van 30 minutes outside of Delphi with a suspicious thin man asking kids if they wanted candy. Mullin says he does not recall.

They do understand that this is the jury trial and they should strive to maintain internally consistent narratives at this point, right? So now are we speculating that the white van that RA didn’t see because the confession is the product of psychosis was actually also driven by the person that killed the girls by luring them in with candy?

Yelling on the stand. Poor optics.
I get that he’s upset, but he was yelling Friday too.

This WAS the report from his testimony on Friday. It’s not saying that he was yelling today.

Do the court artists draw pictures of the witnesses? I'm curious what they look like.

Again….
After the jury has left the courtroom, Baldwin says he has an offer of proof for third party suspects. He asks, “if Allen had asked police “if my spit was on one of the girls?” Judge Gull tells the defense “we’ve had this discussion a thousand times, you have no evidence to tie these people to the crime.”

Weber testified on Wednesday that on February 13, 2017, he left work at Subaru and drove straight home. He said this would put him arriving home at around 2:30 p.m.

Allen told Dr. Wala in one of his confessions that it was a van that spooked him into killing the girls. Weber testified he was driving a white van the day the girls went missing.

During cross examination, Weber seemed to get nervous. The defense said in his 2017 interview with the police, he went to drop off a trailer. Weber said that he did that earlier in the day and continued to deny the defense's claims.
Delphi Double Murder Trial Day 11: Allen's former psychologist takes the stand

Weber told investigators that on Feb. 13, 2017, he left work and drove home. He said this would put him driving down 625 North and pulling into his driveway at around 2:30 p.m.

Allen told Dr. Wala in his confession that it was a van that spooked him into abandoning his plan to rape the girls and quickly kill them. Weber told jurors that on Feb. 13, 2017, he was driving a white van.

[snip]

During cross-examination, defense attorney Andrew Baldwin pressed on Weber’s timeline and claimed Weber didn’t go straight home after work and instead dropped off a trailer. Weber denied this multiple times in a contentious exchange between the pair.

That's fantastic!

By all accounts, although the witness was interviewed shortly after the abduction/murder, and there was no mention of his vehicle.

Richard Allen then described the witness' vehicle during a confession, accurately describing his vehicle as a white van.

The only way that Richard Allen knew what the witness was driving that day at that time is that Richard Allen was there, "down the hill" with Libby and Abby, when the van passed at 2:30.

During prosecution opening statements, they said that Richard Allen had information that only the murderer knew: the white van. The defence said during opening statements that they would prove that the girls were taken away in a vehicle and then taken to the ravine in the middle of the night. We're waiting to hear more about that theory.

It was the candy man in the white van, of course.

Of I were a juror and heard this after trial, I would be livid. The jurors needed to hear Gull say this to the defense.

IMO the victim might not be aware they were molested such as while they were sleeping

Yes, after Baldwin said he went to check on ATMs…
Nope. It was immediately after he asked him about dropping the trailer off earlier in the day.

Andrew Baldwin questioned Webber. He said, "In 2017, you told police you went and worked on ATM machines."

Webber responded, "That's not correct."

Baldwin continued, " You didn't drive straight home."

Webber said, "I dropped off a trailer."

Baldwin replied, "That was earlier in the day."

Webber shouted his answer at Baldwin "That's not correct! No!," and Webber and Baldwin started screaming at each other in open court.

Then today he testified that he checked his ATMs daily. The jury asked if he usually goes home before he services his ATMs and Weber replied “No.”

Seems like the jury doesn’t believe he drove straight home. I don’t know why more clarifying questions were not asked.
