It was a Court TV reporter asking NM if all the other men who had interviewed had been cleared. NM refused to use those words & stated there wasn’t any evidence of anyone else’s involvement, as you stated.

This was later brought up on Vinnie Politan Investigates last night & used to fan the flames of the SODDI defense. BM showed up along with a PI named Ericka Morris & all they did was complain about lack of media access & try to further stoke the fire, linking Ferency’s murder to Odinism, letting the audience assume it was linked to Delphi. Of course, they left out all the bombshell "new evidence" they’d dug up. Just more of the same rhetoric. Politan wasn’t even convincing with his on air "shock" act. Court TV should be embarrassed pushing things like this - sour grapes & nothing more.

Even Motta does not go as far as Politan tries to go. Notice how he does not validate what EM says walks back Politan's flights of fantasy by pointing out that actual evidence would be needed lol

It's pretty bad when Motta seems to be the most in control. With the guilty verdict and the public backlash against the D's actions, it seems he figured out that RA's battleship is sunk and there's nothing left for him to gain by being associated with the cruel, heartless Defense and Internet Cranks.

Although I bet had it been a NG verdict, Motta would still be riding the Defense and KA's coattails until the bitter end.

I was so angry when I read on Thursday that the convicted murderer of Abby and Libby intended to protest his innocence and that he planned to appeal that I couldn’t face following the sentencing as was happening yesterday along with all of you, as I had intended.

It was naive and foolish of me to think a few days ago that there was any possibility that the defendant was going to admit his guilt, apologise or show any remorse for what he has done. When I eventually decided to face reality and find out what sentence he had been given which I had been dreading, it was such a relief to see that he had received the maximum sentence of 130 years. It is a welcome change to have an evil murderer receive the maximum punishment available to the judge and I wish this always the case in heinous crimes like this. I’m in no doubt that he is responsible for the murders of Abby and Libby and he is a danger to society who must remain incarcerated in the interest of public safety for the rest of his days.

I appreciate the comment the Judge made that this is one of the worst crimes a defendant has committed in a case she has presided over in her long career and the sentence she issued reflected this. It was not a surprise to me that the Judge said he had been rolling his eyes at her for the duration of the trial and I get the impression he feels contempt for the girls loved ones, the Judge and the Prosecutors.

His attorneys can file his appeal and he can continue protesting his innocence, but I do not believe this will be successful and hope the taxpayers of Indiana are not going to be forced to pay more on top of the millions they have already had to pay because of what he has done. It seems unlikely he will ever admit his guilt or apologise and I hope he will be left in prison and forgotten about. I also hope the girl’s families may consider filing a civil suit against him and his wife will not be able to make money from licensing family photos or working on the inevitable true crime tv movies and documentaries that will be made about the case.

My thoughts and prayers will always be with Abby and Libby’s loved ones. I read the victim impact statements, which were very moving. I’m sure the girls would be very proud of how tirelessly they have worked to ensure they got justice and how they have advocated to protect them and their memory.

Thank you to all of you for all the posts you have made with news and discussion about the case in all the threads over the past nearly eight years. All the hard work by Tricia and all the moderators is greatly appreciated. It is a great online community we have here.

It’s just turned into tabloid style reporting. It generates debate & money for them through clicks, likes, subscribes & ads. It’s easy for me to not have that at the forefront of my mind when watching. Our local news & papers don’t bait the public as much IMO.

I particularly liked this summary:

Judge Gull commented that Allen's lack of criminal history holds little weight in her sentencing decision based on the crimes committed. She said the defense argument of hardship on Allen's wife was not a mitigating circumstance and the argument of Allen's mental illness had no merit because it was not related to this crime.

MW was employed by Baldwin’s office but at the time he took pictures of the unsecured evidence, he was not an employee of ABs. He was supposedly allowed to roam free while the evidence was in another room, spread out on a table. No one saw him do anything & he was charged with misdemeanor conversion & given a diversion program sentence which he completed & charges were dropped.

The hometown newspaper here, where the leak occurred, covered every aspect of his hearings, also held here, UNTIL he was sentenced & charges dropped. Not one mention of his name after the deal was made. SCOIN found no proof to charge/discipline AR or AB, even though NM tried. Hence how they were reinstated as RAs team, basically.

Motta doesn't even believe in the Odinism theory himself. As he is careful to say each time, it was a theory the 3 cops had.

I believe his attitude is like this because he has his mother and wife who are always willing to let him play the victim and make excuses.

I will never forgive them for letting this drag out like they have and adding ten tons of pain to Abby and Libby’s families.

I didn’t blame them for what he did that day.


But I place the blame squarely at their door for him confessing loads and them refusing to let him do the right thing and plead guilty. Their actions added a load more pain and suffering to the family’s of Abby & Libby. They rejected him because he was finally facing up to what he did, and he went back to being a pathetic waste of space due to their actions.

There’s no doubt in my mind that the state of IN convicted the right defendant in the murder of Abby & Libby.
After all these years, there’s no doubt in my mind that “bridge guy” is the defendant.

After sentencing I was choosing not to post anymore photos of the defendant, if possible. However, I am glad the photo [of defendant] from defendant's sentencing yesterday was posted. As this depiction clearly shows an exact body match between “bridge guy” and defendant. Unbelievable that no one in the defendant’s life recognized him… moo

I've long felt that Abby was often overlooked in the news coverage and discussion of the crime. I was glad the prosecutor gave her a shout out for hiding the phone and helping catch her murderer. She mattered, too.
