Supervisor. He didn’t become a pharm tech until later, after the murders. Surely he stopped drinking around that time as well. I don’t recall that anyone said what his job duties were at CVS before that.
How does what she did negate what RA told her? How do we know she knew how to access that specific information?<modsnip - quoted post was removed>
“In the meantime - However, Walla's involvement in the case became a focus during cross-examination. The defense questioned her decision to access the Department of Corrections database and participate in online discussions, podcasts, and social media pages about the case, raising concerns about her impartiality.“

Delphi Double Murder Trial Day 11: Allen's former psychologist takes the stand
DELPHI, Ind. (WLFI) – Day 11 of the Delphi double homicide trial for Richard Allen, accused of the 2017 murders of Abigail Williams and Liberty German, got underway Wednesday.www.wlfi.com
How do we know what their database has in it? Is there info on witnesses? Their statements? Cars noted in the area? I don’t think she helped the states case as much as they hoped. Moo.
ok, sure, does that excuse the potential violations she committed? I don’t think so, my opinion only
A woman and possibly a blood relative...don’t forget the conspiracy that the killer was a woman!
If a sheriffs deputy was not assigned to go over the potentially cleared files, it is egregious dereliction of duty by the sheriff not to have assigned one.Volunteer or paid staff, she’s the individual who is responsible for the break in the case. I only wish there were more people like her, dedicated and committed to assisting with investigations of crimes against children. Hopefully now everyone will properly recognize her as the invaluable resource that she was in this case.
They had both seen his face up and close. I don't think he could just run away at that point, as he knew they could ID him.And why not just run away leaving girls, he was so concerned about being disturbed he continued on with his crimes still in broad daylight
I understand but I will just have to respectfully agree to disagree with you, it should have been a paid employee doing this work not a volunteer regardless of past work history, important work shouldn't be done by non-active workers, and, someone deserves to be paid for that work
I do not think she has been excused at all. At the very least she was let go from her job. And Rozzi says she is still under investigation. She may yet be charged with something. MOOok, sure, does that excuse the potential violations she committed? I don’t think so, my opinion only
With Delphi being such a small community, I am sure local LE were familiar with her and knew she was a trustworthy person. I think Kathy Shank is a hero. She also found the lost tip on her late husband's birthday. IIRC, he was fairly recently deceased.I’ve never lived in a small town with a tiny police department, but I would guess that like any volunteer, KS was pitching in to help catch up on so much paperwork that lay idle, without enough employees to handle the work.
But young teens might not think of him that way, as he was looking down, hunched over w/hands in pockets. And the other witness was driving by in a car---I don't think it's that easy to estimate height in that circumstance either.Wouldn’t expect anyone to estimate height but something as simple as he was “short” when describing who they saw is something a general description should elicit. IMO
What case information is in the IDOC database?I do not think she has been excused at all. At the very least she was let go from her job. And Rozzi says she is still under investigation. She may yet be charged with something. MOO
"Rozzi tells the jury that Wala used the IDOC database to find information about the case and that the IDOC is investigating her for that. He says this is why she is not at the IDOC right now."

Supervisor.
Not familiar with the IDOC database, but it surely wouldn't include ongoing case files? Only sentencing information for convicted people? What case information is in the IDOC database?
I don’t think she lied. I just don’t think she helped the state at all. I don’t think those “confessions” were all I hoped for either. My experience says lies are vague and without a lot of details. Truth is full of vivid details. Not that I want them but those things he said to her - sound robotic and devoid of detail imo. I don’t know what to make of it. It’s not BARD for me. Moo.How does what she did negate what RA told her? How do we know she knew how to access that specific information?
I think her testimony helped the state tremendously. Having already suffered repercussions from bad judgement, she has no reason to lie on the stand, and there is no evidence that has been presented that shows she has lied.
