Well, that is just insulting, IMO

I have been a volunteer for Emergency Crisis Centers, I have volunteered for our televised remote for the MDA telethon held every Labor Day weekend.
My family, friends and community have all pitched in with the telethon.

NONE of us were paid, but it was IMPORTANT work for us and for others.

Pretty sure she qualified as a "volunteer" due to her credentials as a DCS employee.

I’m specifically talking about volunteer cases that would fall under LE cases where there are legal implications in active criminal cases and anything outside that scope in terms of volunteer work obvious I have no problem with and do encourage and respect people for doing MOO

What about volunteers who search for missing persons?

AND....the jury can disregard her testimony if they don't approve of her credentials or behavior or whatever else people are finding fault with. The jury doesn't have to believe what people say in the stand, and this jury in particular seems to be careful listeners.

I personally think her testimony was strong and suspect the jury will too.

Don't get me wrong, I want the murderer to pay for what was done to those little girls. It is bothering me that the jury may be hearing and thinking about the many things that could be reasonable doubt. I'm putting myself into the jury. We don't have any idea what they are thinking. I'm not arguing for him. I want the evidence to be solid. I don't want a mistrial or a not guilty verdict if he is proven guilty. Ok, I'll relax for awhile. Thank you friend.

You are correct, no volunteer, clerk, or dispatcher is responsible for "clearing witnesses" it is at a lead detective level with approval of their supervisor.
Unless there was intentional deception there is one person who bears responsibilty, the Sheriff.

What you don’t do is leave them in solitary confinement for 13 straight months and then use his psychotic ramblings against him in an attempt to prosecute him.

This was torture and I am confident the DOJ will step in.

BW is an ordinary citizen and if the defense badgers him (rather than simply asking questions to cast doubt), the jury won't like that, imo.

I think it's commendable that a person who is tasked with mental health therapy for people who are charged with crimes takes an interest in their field and does plenty of background reading and research into crimes and criminals. I think it's completely normal to type up handwritten notes into a Word Doc and standard office procedure. We will have to agree to heartily disagree.

Small towns often are forced to rely upon volunteers when a major event happens in their town. Their LE is not budgeted amply for a double murder.

They are going to have problems with that 2:02 end of work as a 1st shift employee at Subaru--that will be a job that requires punching out. That doesn't get him there early enough to be there by 2:13 to be bridge guy on Libby's video.

Unless they are going for the old "oh, he had someone else punch him out at work, he actually left at 1:00" conspiracy. Of course.

I think that the psychologist's unethical actions may taint all of the confessions. She was in his head, influencing him, pretending to be a friend - not much of a leap to believe that she was manipulating him for her own entertainment; or to confirm her suspicions.

Wala was an important witness for introducing RA's smoking confession, the one that puts him at MHB at 2:30.

He didn't leave at 1:30.
He didn't leave at 2:15.
He wasn't gone at 2:30.

Just like he boxed himself in self-reportimg seeing the babysitting witness with brown hair who also saw saw a man, dressed like BG, just as RA was dressed, putting him at the MHB at 1:30, providing the detail that he heard/saw the white van, he boxed himself in, below the bridge (where iiuc the private driveway runs) at 2:30. Which corresponds with the data from Libby's phone, changing elevation and ceasing all movement shortly afterwards.

RA couldn't get off the bridge, and now he can't get up from under it.

If they do want to completely discredit themselves with implicating BW, it will be that he was the getaway car and who returned them to the crime scene. The cross examination and common sense will destroy that.

I didn’t find it strong at all. I don’t think she lied. But I think his “confessions” are questionable based on the lack of actual content (moo) and the actions of the psychologist who testified today. Moo.
