I've always completed that in my head as "if that photo is from the girls phone it's not me - because I didn't think they took my picture". It seems such an awkward way to say "no that isn't me" if it really isn't you.

Richard Allen self-reported after the BG pic was released and at the time the police didn't said where the pic came from, so it is possible Richard Allen would told it was him in the pic if they asked him but Dan Dulin didn't ask and Richard never told..

In the image of him he appears to be looking down, (to watch his step) i think that the picture was taken when he was looking down.

Respectfully, it was not at all like Uvalde. In Uvalde, dozens of armed police officers knew exactly where the mass killer of schoolchildren could be located - inside a school building. They stood by and did not engage, while terrified children phoned 911 from inside classrooms, begging for help, only to be slaughtered.

I thought she did a great job of explaining herself & how she tested the guns & why she had to fire the rounds. Quite the strong witness for the state, IMO, compared to the utter tool the D put in the stand. Hope he enjoyed his vacation to Morocco.

In my mind, I chose to ignore both experts just as jurors often do when there are competing experts. I still arrived at Guilty and BARD. But I am posting because my confidence in this verdict is increased by the evidence in the famous 1983 case of Diane Downs (Small Sacrifices by Ann Rule). The gun used was never located but its existence was attested to by her ex-husband and ex-lover. iirc LE found spent casings on the floor of the car and on the road.

Dont forget Richard Allen's vehicle was caught on video! This article is a super read, and additionally, the narrative need not change if it's the truth. Richard Allen knows what he did. Glad the jurors knew too.


Investigators found that Allen owned a 2006 Ford 500 and a 2016 black Ford Focus. Surveillance footage from the nearby Hoosier Harvestore showed a black Ford Focus passing by the store toward the trail just before 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 13.

Richard Allen was not on Delphi investigators' radar. Then a volunteer found a box of tips.

Testimonies in the double-murder trial revealed how investigators focused on Richard Allen in 2022.

There were some inconsistencies in Allen's statements.

In 2017, he said he arrived at the trail around 1:30 p.m. and left around 3:30 p.m. In 2022, he said he arrived there around noon and was not on the trail later than 2 p.m.

Was going through the pages and didn't realize you were responding to Diane Downs' wikipedia page. I too won't forget what she did to her poor kids. Thank goodness, the prosecutor and his wife adopted two of the kids, and if iirc correctly one was killed by DD that day.
