I need to know without a doubt that the right man is on trial in Delphi.

Snipped: What would that take in your opinion?

This is the context people keep referring to, and it's the completely wrong one. Allen did not confess to law enforcement, which is what that research is analyzing. This is a completely different situation, with a very different dynamic.
If you read the source closely, at no point they distinguish how the false confessions were elicited to amount to that 12% figure. Unless you can point me to somewhere else where this distinction is made?

When they do divide them in categories in the rest of the article, they make it plenty clear a false confession doesn't have to happen directly to an officer during an interview.

Understood, but he's discussing it in the context with flow of blood, so I'd guess that's why his testimony was permitted (moo).
I see. Ty.

I’m completely sickened by the way Richard Allen was treated before his constitutional right to a fair trial.

The fact that this happened in America should terrify everyone here

The fact they let these psychotic ramblings into evidence as confessions is equally appalling

Jmo
They were trying to keep a depressed, suicidal man with a massive target on his back, alive.

He had tried to kill himself in the past, and talked about basically welcoming death around the time of his arrest.

Personally, I’d rather him alive than dead.

I want to watch these interrogation videos so bad.

In my opinion the way richard Allen cones across is not that of a guilty man, but it is hard to tell without seeing body language.

You usually don’t have suspects cursing out cops for implicating them in homicides if they are guilty.

JMO.

Me too!

Body language, eyes and even how sentences are worded and expressed.

Like yesterday!!! Those Interrogations should be released now.

RA has to prove it was not him on the bridge at the time that is consistent with all the witness statements and a video that is also consistent with his admitted outfit and his appearance.

RSBM

The burden of proof falls on the state not Richard Allen.

She didn’t testify to this nor did an investigator testify to it, TMS stated that they heard it in the interview
Oh ok, so her own words during an LE interview. Sounds like she was maybe disillusioned by her husband. JMO

“I’ve been across the high bridge when it was in better shape,” he told them.
[snip]
Allen said he was no “angel of a person,” adding that he was “like everyone else.”
[snip]
“I’ve never met them [the girls],” Allen said.

He then revealed that he was “going to shoot” himself that night.

“It’s not like I killed two girls and now I’ve got psychological problems,” he said.

I really wish we could watch these ourselves. I want to know if by "that" night he means the night of February 13th.

ETA I also note he indicates his familiarity with the bridge and has been across it in the past, when it was in "better" shape. Doesn't want LE looking at his internet history because he is "no angel of a person"

Can't wait to see these Interrogations myself!

Thanks. But he wasn’t at the scene, was he? He’s a blood spatter guy - I’m not sure restraints are within his area of expertise but thanks again!
Yes he did visit the scene also

I could very well be mistaken but I seem to recall one of the other forensics folks (maybe the autopsy) or CS analysts saying there were no classic signs or noticeable signs or markings of restraints being used. Paraphrasing for brevity.

I feel it would have been possible for a type of choke hold (not one on the throat, but in sides of neck) could have been applied at some point on one, mysterious mark around mouth/chin could have been a scratch trying to,reach up & pull the perp’s arm away. If RA was involved, he did have a military background, just not sure how extensive NG training might be compared to full fledged military combat/self defense training.

Respectfully, couldn't disagree more.

Both interviews and everything about RA as an individual that I know all give me a “not guilty” vibe.
It’s so strange. Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde

Imo

Don't know if he is innocent or not, but I want to see those interrogations or interviews and to know that the right man is on trial.

Look at that character on the Green Mile that was innocent yet he chose the path he did even though...

There are a number of cases where a convicted person and their families have paid the price of guilty when they were in fact innocent.

I need to know without a doubt that the right man is on trial in Delphi.

The Green Mile is fiction.

And the legal standard is beyond a reasonable doubt, not without a doubt.

Also, I can't think off the top of my head where " a convicted person and their families have paid the price of guilty when they were in fact innocent."

Which cases are you referring to?

It's beyond a reasonable doubt, not any doubt.

They kept a man that has never been convicted of a crime in solitary confinement in a maximum security prison for 13 months and are using his psychotic ramblings as evidence against him.

This is quite literally unheard of in our justice system and I truly expect severe consequences to come down on people for violations of Richard Allen’s constitutional rights.

If I remember right, there was an attempt to unlock the phone very shortly after the video was taken.

I assumed this was Libby attempting to do this with the phone hidden in her sweatshirt pouch pocket rather than her jeans, as it would have been easier to conceal and manipulate in there, but that’s just a guess.

I don’t have a good idea of how the phone ended up where it did, but yeah your theory is a good possibility.
True about sweatshirt… also, it doesn’t sound like the phone had any water damage, (if we know that fact) and would have been higher when crossing the creek. If the water was that high, I’m def not recalling how high it would be where officials think they crossed.

Here’s one example, there’s thousands more behind this one. Unfortunately this is an all too common occurrence in our country, most cases never get the spotlight like Delphi has and innocent people are locked away with no voice
