I don’t drink and neither do most of the people I know, so I recognize that I’m not one to know how many drinks and what kind of alcohol would cause someone to feel unfettered in his or her actions.
I suspect it differs according to each individual, anyway.
Yet from what I glean here, it certainly seems that RA was just drunk enough to lower his inhibitions and yet still be capable of kidnap and murder.
What an atrocious balance.
I have, on the subway, encountered people who smell like alcohol, but that’s in an enclosed space and is fleeting.
Tragically I would presume that Abby and Libby were the only ones enduring the physical contact with him long enough to smell alcohol, and they can’t tell us.
However, Richard Allen can, and has now told us all.

And RA would have access to medicine without needing it to be prescribed by a doctor,Another variable is combining alcohol with virtually any type of prescription dealing with mental health as it can cause unpredictable behavior. JMO
boots could add a few inches to his apparent height-Re: witnesses not being able to estimate RA's height....
I am very bad at guesstimating distances or measurements. When witnesses saw him, the only real comparison would have been with trees alongside the path which would make it even harder, imo. It's not like he was standing beside something with a distinct height so witnesses could say if he was taller or shorter than it (like a 6' high fence, for example). Plus, I think attitude and projection can skew perception, so if he was seen as grumpy or scary or menacing, that might make a witness think he's taller. All MOO.
The next report is from April 10, 2023. Wala tells the jury that she noticed “faking” symptoms. She said Allen was naked during this meeting, that there were papers on the floor and was doing “unknown things” to his penis and talking about his wife
Yes, as I’ve said. If he did confess to information only the killer would know I will in an instant flip from I don’t know to guilty and say put him in general population and let him face justice in there, slowly. If it's proven RA didn't have access to the information he confessed to, everyone should come to the realization that he is guilty.
Unfortunately even then, some wouldn't.
What? How exactly? And RA would have access to medicine without needing it to be prescribed by a doctor,
worked in a pharmacyWhat? How exactly?
I’m not OP but had questions as to what was in the discovery? Crime scene photos? Autopsy reports? What did he have access to already?
I don’t know- but if he had access to details or photos that would make a difference- I’m just ignorant of what all he would have received in “discovery” -
I look at Indiana cases more than others and meth seems to be a common factor in the heinous crimes. So RA really didn't fit. I've seen no evidence of sexual abuse in court cases; I'm not sure how much weight to put on that confession, especially someone who claimed to cheat with a cigarette. How on earth...? MOOI've read a lot about serial killers, and although Allen is not by definition a serial killer, I believed that the killer here was behaving as one (sexually motivated). I believed this crime was committed by a (mostly) disorganized offender. Guys like that tend to have substance abuse problems, mental illness, and a history of sexual abuse (Funny enough Allen checks all 3 boxes).
So I wasn't focused on him being an alcoholic and this happening, I was focused on him being like a mostly disorganized serial killer, which made substance abuse very likely.

Organized Versus Disorganized Serial Predators
At the heart of criminal profiling is the idea that serial killer crime scenes can be classified as either "organized" or "disorganized" in presentation.www.psychologytoday.com

If he was wearing work boots or lifts he would have looked 2 or 3 inches taller. And the witnesses on the trail were very young/teens. Their ability to estimate height is probably not great. Their reference is teen boys which are quite ofter 5 foot 4 or 5 themselves. I don't think a man wearing hiking boots would look that unusually short to a group of teen girls, IMOIt’s also odd to me that not a single person there that day described the man as being that short-that would stick out to me more than anything just as if I saw an unusually tall man
Is there corroboration that BW was driving a white van? From what I have heard BW arrived at 3:30, this would not have been able to be what spooked ra across the creek since the last movements on Libby’s phone were 2:32I understand
But even with discovery, even with a lot of facts, certain things can only be explained by the murderer.
For instance:
LE knew that Abby and Libby were forced off the bridge. Then they walked through the creek to the spot that they were murdered.
By RA saying that the reason they crossed the creek is because he was spooked by someone pulling into the Weber's driveway in a while van is not a coincidence. It shows that he filled in the blanks, that he why was there and identified the van and the time it happened.
It explains why he didn't rape them, but that was his intention.
To NOT believe him, IMO, is blind faith that I can't grasp.
He can steal them though. mooNot sure how pharmacies work in your area, but working at a CVS is not the same thing as working “in a pharmacy”
And even if he was a pharmacy tech - he would NOT have access to medication without an RX-
